But, from the ones we know so far:
Male Hawke (mage)
Varric
Aveline
Carver

Based on the companions revealed so far, my party will look a lot like this: Fenris, Carver, and Varric. I'm pretty confident in Nate being recruitable as well as a currently unnamed human male mage (what can I say, I'm an eternal optimist), so as soon as we meet up with them, Varric and Carver will have to bid adieu.
Some may find it odd that I prefer an all-male party setup, but it works for me. Besides, my fem!Hawke has more than enough estrogen to keep everything in balance. As for an m!Hawke run, the party setup will probably stay the same as fem!Hawke's. Go males! Whoo!

I think it was in the old MEG thread. And I'm saving a slot Varric and maybe Carver too. I expect more party-members will be announced.

you mean aside for the fact he can't even tell a story straight without "embellishing" it? I don't know it's just the vibe he gives me...the whole likeable rogue ladies man thing he has going. Maybe it's because I'm a guy and he is meant to be a fangirl treat?
all I know is that if I am given the opportunity I'm virmiring his sorry hairy dwarven butt.

I'm not sure it's fair to say that he is, "meant to be a fangirl treat". If a character being announced has a smidgen of maleness, they instantly become a fangirl treat by default. I probably won't use Varric much because I'm not big on dwarves (no pun intended). Of course, this could change.
Oh, and cool. I like that. Thanks crimzontearz.

Has it been confirmed if companions not in our party for several missions will still gain experience or not? I hope they do, just in case I want to switch people around. Generally, I tend to stick with one party for most of the game. In Origins, it was me (mage), Wynne, Alistair, and Zevran.
They gained experence in Origins too. Just a level below the PC as a minimum.
Anyways, they'd do their own thing if they're not brought to gain experience.

I'd think he was written to be more of a bro character.

Bro characters often double as fangirl treats, in my experience.GodWood wrote...
I really doubt Varric was 'meant' to be a fangirl treat.

And, yeah, I think Varric was meant to be both. I mean, considering his design/VA choice/personality and all.

Rogue Hawke, Fenris, Bethany, Other Mage
I'll avoid Aveline and Varric like the plague. I hate dwarves and Chantry lovers. And Elf haters, but there isn't any Elf haters at the moment. Probably.

That said, I like to pick a party and stick with it through the whole game. I try to only metagame these decisions AFTER I've played the game once through more organically, so odds are whomever gets recruited first will be whom I stick with.
My first DA:O game was indeed Alistair, Morrigan and the Dog.
Based on whom we've seen, however...
gah...
I'll be playing a warrior, so I'll probably have Bethany. I don't have anything for or against her at this point, so if the story let's her stick around she's probably sticking around.
Of everyone else revealed, though...
....

.
Fenris will probably make the cut. Otherwise... mystery Signature Edition character, perhaps?
I don't want Isabela, I probably don't want Varric, and as I'm not planning on a mage there's no Carver... and right now Aveline seems dull to me (I'm about 89% positive that this impression won't last past one conversation with her, but it is what it is right now.)

Varric and Isabela for the banter win.
Fenris will get segregated from the party and most likely killed if the option arises, I despise Elves they need to get back in the kitchen and scrub my floors.
