From what we know so far and speculation, Hawke, [sibling], Fenris, Varric. ~ Of course, this is subject to change.

Well, I've had all day to think about this so for me on my FIRST playthrough...



warrior hawke( most likely male n default, no scar)

bethany

unannounced rogue archer female probadly( this being that I ALWAYS used leliana( not to mention she was my original LI atleast til I found out my human noble cousland could marry anora) over zevran though i did enjoy his party banter with the females...)

most likely fenris....though aveline may stay in the party after he joins... or I could put my first LI in this spot...



All characters will however be used by me if only because of their requirement to be in the party for various sidequest or ME2 loyalty missions...



P.S. This is also not my final party has I'm also waiting to see who else will be announced as party members...chances are if the sig edition secret character is female and romanceable...whether rogue, warrior or mage she will be with me replacing fenris...though if not though then the above will most likely be my chosen party to roll with for most of the adventure.

Based on who we've seen so far

1st playthrough: 
Hawke (dual wielding rogue, dps)- haven't decided on gender yet though I'm leaning towards male
Fenris (two hand warrior, built towards tanking) 
Bethany (if this game relies on magic as strongly as Origins did...)/Aveline (if this one is less magic heavy)
Varric (scout/ranged attacker)

I want to be able to have all-male and all-female parties on subsequent playthroughs, hopefully all the companions will be reliable and not just a handful.

Female Hawke, Mage; I'm tempted to just go 'Berserk' and maybe try for a Schierke-like Hawke as best, but probably not. Failing that, Raistlin-based.

Fenris/Carver -- depending on whether or not Carver stays as a follower past the prologue. If not, Fenris, unless there's a qunari.

Ninja Gaider, because you know you want Ninja Gaider on your side. Always.

And probably a yet-unnamed Sword-boarder. I don't like Isabela or Aveline, so chances are I won't get either of them.



Second playthrough, I don't know yet. Hrmn.

That's... very specific. Do you believe they'll add that to the game? If there's two rogues in the game, I'm afraid you're going to have problems.

My party will consist of Hawke, a companion, another companion and a third companion. But it's still early so my list could very well change.

There's a preview where the writer talks about having a rivalry with BETHANY, but there's no "unreleased third sibling" floating around.

I didn't hear him mention Bethany and it has been stated that Hawke's family is big its not just his sister/mother...unless somethings changed that I completly missed.  Eitherway if i'm wrong my apologies and thank you for the snarky remark...like I said I didn't hear him mention a name so I assumed an unreleased npx and or companion...I do remember them teasing that Rivarly system would be restricted to just companions...but who knows maybe i've lost my mind...which is very possible.

The person who wrote the preview about having a rivalry with their sibling was trying to write a spoiler free preview and didn't want to spoil if it was Bethany or Carver =P

2H male Hawke, Bethany, Aveline and the female elf I'm praying for. I don't even care if she's completely lesbian and is completely uninterested in Mike Hawke.



If no elf I'll go with Isabella, and so Hawke will still be pimping,yeah...wait...sister in party...never mind

The last spot is a little tricky at this point. So far we know there is Varric, Aveline and Fenris. Varric will most likely get the initial nod because he is awesome. Plus it would make sense as he is supposed to be the grand storyteller of the Rise to Power of the Champion. On the other hand Aveline could be interesting, plus then we'd have an all female party which is always great! Fenris is kinda meh to me but he could always be more interesting than he appears since we don't really know that much. The fourth party slot will probably see many different NPC's slotted into it, primarily based on what quests I am doing at the time.
