I have many weapons and armor, and each one has special abilities that they may confer e.g. +1 armor. Do you recommend tailoring your weapon armor combo to suit the enemy you will face or do you go for the best regardless? also which do think are the most important stats, bonus or otherwise, to look at when choosing between which weapons and armor to use?
overwhelmed with weapon and armor choice!!

starfang if ya have it and warden commander armor once again if you have it they're both great armor and weapons and with the chest you can sometimes go back to soldiers peak and upgrade your armor and weapons

Obviously whatever has higher stats is what you should use.
Theres only maybe....three fights in the whole game where wearing some kind of resitance gera is particularly useful an dthose are all aginst the Dragons (Fire/Spirit Damage) but you can actualy use a item you can craft called a "Balm" to get the same effect for a shorter duration in resitance since they cap at 75% resitance.
