Hey guys, I am just about ot start a Veteran playthrough of Mass Effect 2 and I was wondering that if you used Pull Field in combonation with the Vanguard's Area Charge, would that be as effective at dispatching multiple enimies at the same time as the Adept's Singularity + Warp Combo?

Thanks.

All it would do is make the enemies go flying further than they would with just an Area Charge. You really wouldn't do all that much extra damage.

You're better off using Pull Field with Miranda or Thane's Unstable Warp.

But that should be fun with how ME2 handles the physics, with the pulled enemies flying about, dunno if I've seen that on youtube, I gotta check again when I have time.

It got me killed several times (e.g. SB ship - guy was flying in the air, I charged and in the meantime he flew too high so he was going to die in the storm..well my Shep followed :D).

It can be fun at times, but it is not even close to Warp bombs in terms of effectiveness.

I've thankfully never "suicided" because of it.

It can definitely be fun, especially if you pull at a low angle and drag the guy instead of lifting them.  I was able to time one Pull/Charge combo for the invisi-drones on Tali's recruitment so that I could hit one as I yanked it down into the ground.  Wasn't useful at all, but it was fun to try.  I also found out that dragging them out of the air would usually kill them if they hit a wall.

Charge ought to work like Throw does, and using Throw on ragdolled (pulled) target doubles biotic damage. Area Charge's impact force is 750 N >> 1500 N (ragdolled). I'm not sure about biotic upgrades though, the biotic cooldown reduction upgrade doesn't affect Charge - maybe all biotic upgrades have no effect on Charge?

1500 N can send enemies into the stratosphere, but you can't arc Charge like Throw so it will be very difficult to 'aim' except the enemy you're Charging head on. Maybe not the most reliable combo, but great fun :)

If you could pull them all into a small enough area to hit multiple enemies with an area charge, it would probably be pretty fun to do/watch, but it would likely do far less damage than a warp would.

You can warp detonate ppl that get hit with your charge, iirc.

I don't think charge imparts a biotic field to the enemies. I know that in most videos (like Sinosleep's low level vanguard videos), folks follow charge with a pull/warp combo from squad mates, so it can look like the charge is being detonated. Personally, I've never tried to detonate a charge. Can someone confirm from personal experience whether it is possible?

The question I was responding to was from the immediate preceding post asking for verification that Warp-detonating an enemy that was only hit by Charge is not possible.

This might've been what it was.

Ok, now I have to try this.
