It is very amusing how you keep using those words as if it makes you sound smart.

Half of the people on these forums use buzzwords in many of their posts and are never ridiculed for it; whether this guy is a troll or not.. he barely used any at all.  Direct your wrath at someone who is actually trying to sound smart just for the sake of sounding smart because he clearly wasn't.

Thanks :)

i think you are jumping to conclusions. I have read no official statements or read any dialogue claiming that Isabella is a tramp. There are plenty of scantily clad women with self respect and all that jazz. Play the game and learn the characters personalities before making a post like this IMO

A conversation with her in DA:O was enough. She said plenty. How should I put this.... I respect her. I always respect all peoples thoughts and ways. If my friend is a sl-t it doesn't mean that I don't like her. She can be an exelent friend and I will like her and respect her, I just won't romance her, let her find someone who cares about such things less than me.

If you like and respect her perhaps try not calling her that.

And how do you call a person that is careless in sex? I don't see that as offensive. Some people call them selves B-tches for example.

I have traded in every game that I have beaten.. thus having them registered is impossible. I am not a troll, I had a legitimate question and it has awakened... well...  emotional response... Not my fault.

If you had simply asked the question instead of devoting the majority of your post describing how ugly the current female companions are, you would have gotten a much different response.

well its his taste and his opinion. i think he should be allowed to formulate it, no?

Does it really matter if one random dude thinks the girls are ugly? I mean, in this life, it seems there's always some people out there who think you're ugly, and others who think you're cute (Unless you happen to be horribly disfigured or something. And even then, there are fetishists) Sure, there's 'standards of beauty'. But those are mostly for marketers who have a heart attack at the very thought of thinking outside the box. Not real people, who seem to get randy enough over anything and everything if you take a moment to look at the real couples walking around out there.

yes but dragonage two seems a far ways off from origins. And its not like the her sex HAD to take place in origins, it never has came up in any of my play throughs. I dont really want to get into this conversation but not everyone who has a 3 some is a tramp, screwing everything in sight. Sometimes it fits into the cards, and who really would want to deny that oppostunity? I wouldnt and I am no tramp

...She didn't know the Warden from Adam. It's not like the two were old friends or anything (as in the case with Zev).

Granted that scene never happened in any of my games. So...*shrugs*

It is very amusing that you are constantly referring to the vernacular of a well-eduacted 16 year-old as being beyond the parameters of average intelligence.

Take it from someone who's qualified to say:  you're trying too hard.

That's not the point. If he didn't want someone to offer a dissenting opinion, he should not have presented his own, and  just asked the question.

Do I have a complex?

If you're starved for attention, you could just start a thread about how Fenris is a sissy looking pretty-boy and Varric a short, hairy dude and you have no interest in boinking either. Or just go troll their fan threads.

Yes because I was totally talking to you and asking you that. :kissing:

If you wanted me to pay attention to you all you had to do was ask. ;)

I was trying to point out that not liking a character's appearece doesn't give you a complex.

Also Fenris is hot. B) I'm very interested in "boinking" him. Multiple times. In mulitple ways.

Hopefully with Male and Fem Hawke.

As long as he's not interested, I gather.

Nah. My Hawkes want Fenris to be interested. If he's not they'll have to deal with their cold tents. All alone. :crying: Ashamed by the fact that they'll never be appealling and crying themselves to sleep at night.

Poor Hawke. :(

Isabella is known to have had group sex with the Warden, Leliana, Zevran, and Alistair in some game worlds, at the same time. So in some realities, at least, she is very much a tramp. ;P Maybe she was first turned out by the Warden, but I doubt it. ;P

I keep copy/pasting that answer of mine but since people keep recreating threads about that, I don't see the harm of pasting it again :

I also think the threesome/foursome thing from DA:O is taken far too seriously, as if it were canon. To me, it was more of an easter egg for the immature gamers we are (I don't remember the Pearl[/b] being obligatory in order to finish the game). Would you say waking up with two nugs in your bed really broke your RP ? I think at that point, one gets it that it's just the developers trying to have some fun ; you forget about the intrigue for a minute and play along ; the fourth wall is broken. The very fact that prude Alistair could be part of the threesome/foursome IMO shows that it was never meant to be taken so seriously.

Also, the very way we encounter Isabela[/b] (if I remember correctly, she duels a guy and has a bunch of others fleeing) shows that she is a determined woman, and probably not that easy. When YOUR warden hints at sex, she says something like "now you've piqued my interest", showing that she is probably choosy, though definitely liberated.

To me, it was quite obvious since my first playthrough that the reason she hangs out at the Pearl[/b] in the first place is because she's a sailor, a "tough girl", who likes confrontation and is not afraid of getting picked on by some men since she can clearly defend herself ; not because she's a prostitute at heart. Of all the hangouts in Denerim, apart from the port, the Pearl[/b] sounds like the most appropriate for a buccaneer such as herself looking for action (in a non-sexual sense).

As for the romance side, Oghren, who seems pretty naughty himself and has a penchant for shady establishments turns out to be the biggest sweetheart once his personal quest is active (and when searching desperately for Branka), so how could something acceptable for a male character be sacrilegious for a female character anyway ?

You make interesting points. However, I was never arguing that Isabella is 'sacrilegious' for in any way evil for not restricting her sexual dalliances to a husband or committed love interest. I just make the point that if the events in the Pearl in anyway reflect her character, which i think they do, she doesn't have a 'traditional' old fashioned, whatever semantics you want to use, sexual morality.  Just like Moriggan and Leliana differed in their views about sex, Isabella obviously has certain views about sex - as we all do -  and her views aren't shared by all. In real life, I'm not the most sexually conservative guy myself. I have my preferences in what I'm looking for in a mate, but I could care less if Joe is looking for a more conservative gal on my right, and Josephine could care less for a virgin or near virgin on my left. The only point I was making is Isabella doesn't strike me as kiss one boy at a time type, at least not under normal cirmustances.

I'm not saying it's bad to have sex with people, I'm saying the word b$*!tch is not a neutral word. Why is it not okay to call a sexually active woman that ? Because it refers to prostitution. Why is it not okay to call a black man the N word ? Because it refers to slavery. Why is it not okay to call a homosexual the F word ? Because it refers to burning people. And more generally, no matter where they come from, those words are still used with hate and disdain, and they are not neutral. If you can't tell that, I'm sorry for you.

Are you serious??? You should call her your friend. Her sex life is none of your business and the fact that you can't even type what you called her because of the filter shows that it is considered highly derogatory, if you really had any doubt. As for what some people might call themselves, be aware that most people would not call themselves that and others would be offended if someone else called them that, especially when they didn't know that person or depending on the context it is being used in.

Apologies in advance if what im about to write is total bs but,  i was under the impression that in DA:O Alistair was the only LI who had never slept with anyone else. Zevran very cleary has, Leliana also has i believe, and Morrigan alludes to having done so also.

So really when you consider all of that, 75% of the LI companions have all had past experiences. Not trying to bash anyone who prefers their LI to be a first timer, but i can't really remember this particular area of disscussion being a major problem for the community with the first game.

Also, if you look at the non-romancable companions most of them have also had a partner at some point. I think Sten is the only one who is never confirmed.

But back to the original point of this topic, i personally believe that Aveline won't be a LI. I think she'll be a bit more like Wynne and be more of a guide in your romance whilst comparing it to the relationship she had with her husband.

And there is also another part of romance other than sex. What made me love romancing Morrigan in origins was that you had to work to make her love you. Maybe getting laid by issabella could be easy, but what about making her actually care for and love you? I would find that far more rewarding.

I understand that it's hard for some to grasp the concept of a public forum. If only the BSN has a way to privately send a message to someone when you want them to see it and respond, but no one else.
