I have a lot of insight into the way even very educated people with large vocabularies speak, since I normally hang out with, yes, very educated people with large vocabularies.  Yeah, I'd say it's a little beyond your vocabulary.  "Allocate" isn't really the best word to use there, it suggests sorting things and is a bit awkward in that context.  I would have use "conjecture to be", personally.  You could also try predicate, contend, or aver, to pick some other less frequently used words.

Are you kidding me? Because you 'hang out with educated people with large vobaularies' that grants you knowledge of how expansive my literary abilities are? That is one of the more preposterous displays of 'logic' that I have come accross. Here it is in PLAIN english for you: You DON'T know me. You have NO idea what I do, what I've written, or what I am capable of. My use of 'allocate' is PERFECTLY suitable for the context of what I was saying. The real problem here... is that you are just an impertinent a**hole who has nothing better to do than pretend that you know people..
