Huh? I thought her hair was always brown but the lighting in the pearl made it look red.

reddish brown....or maybe my gamma ranges were sc rewed up a little.....or maybe I just like redheads so much I imagined the color on her hair

No, she was dark-brown. Like Kylon.

Ah. I generalized.

Plus. How exactly is one post numerous?

But does that make her an "attention wh*re"? I think not. Which is what your argument for Isabela was.

Did I say Morrigan was an attention wh*re? No I didn't.

Why does it matter? I am trying to get my point across. Some people do that better with ranting.

It matters because I have no desire to discuss something with someone frothing at the mouth.

Indeed.

Right. :?

You know how you don't talk about fight club? You don't swap names either.

Apologies in advance if what im about to write is total bs but,  i was under the impression that in DA:O Alistair was the only LI who had never slept with anyone else. Zevran very cleary has, Leliana also has i believe, and Morrigan alludes to having done so also.

So really when you consider all of that, 75% of the LI companions have all had past experiences. Not trying to bash anyone who prefers their LI to be a first timer, but i can't really remember this particular area of disscussion being a major problem for the community with the first game.

Also, if you look at the non-romancable companions most of them have also had a partner at some point. I think Sten is the only one who is never confirmed.

But back to the original point of this topic, i personally believe that Aveline won't be a LI. I think she'll be a bit more like Wynne and be more of a guide in your romance whilst comparing it to the relationship she had with her husband.

I hope I wasn't alluding to a desire for everyone to be virgins... no, no, no. I was simply saying that I value sex as a demonstration of something more than 'lust.' If the appropriate value is placed on sex than I have no problem with my companions (IRL or in game) to have had multiple sexual encounters previously. I will not have sex with someone unless I love them, and I am willing to accept the ramifications of that decision. (i.e. children) I would like my partner to mirror my own beliefs in this area... This translates into my experiences in gaming as well....

Apologies, the point i was making about the multiple sexulal partners was actually aimed at some other people who i now realise i forgot to quote in my post.

The point you made about wanting your LI in the game to mirror your own real life beliefs is something i agree with to a certain extent. However, in DA:O the companion who i romanced the most was Morrigan and she is probably the polar opposite to me and the character i was playing (at least until she became slightly more loving).
The only problem i  have with trying to adopt my real life beliefs into a videogame is that it's unlikely there is a character who would be a perfect match.

Using DA:O as an example once again, if i was using my own personal beliefs i would not have romanced Morrigan due to her initial attitude and as a result i would be more inclined to Leliana due to her more caring nature. However, i personally do not find Leliana's romance particulary fufilling or as interesting as Morrigan' s,   due to the fact that Morrigan's romance actually sees me change her to a slightly more human/caring person.

Not the best example ever i know, but had i used my natural way of thinking i probably would not have bothered about Morrigan all that much.

Not to take sides here, but I would presume that all intelligent and mature people in this thread (which I like to believe consists of us all) would be able to make their points eloquently without resorting to swear words and insulting one another?

Really? Being a sl-t doesn't say anything about your personality? Sorry I'm just not Qunari and I show love in sex aswell. It's not about being male or female. Zevran is a sl-t too. I think that THEY are shallow, and that having a healthy relationship includes being ''owned'' by someone particular both ways.

Sounds like someone has a healthy love of S&M.... ^_^

You said Isabela was one because of the way she dressed. I then brought up the example of Morrigan, who also dresses scantily. Just because Morrigan revealed her breasts did not make her an attention wh*re. The same could be said for Isabela. Scantily clad does NOT necessarily equal attention seeker.

It matters because I have no desire to discuss something with someone frothing at the mouth.

Ranting = frothing at the mouth now? Nice. I guess roughly half of the forumites are now drooling loons with no sense of self-control. *sigh*

The two Isabella's have the same face structure, the change in hairstyles seems to just be making her more classical euro loking face more obvious

But then Biowares main weak link(in my experiance) was always their charecter models, they have some bizzare fetish for gaut cheeks and weird facial construction on all human models, it's present in all their games and the charecter creator has at least 5 diff cheek mods that just render your charecter into the kid from "the mask"(not the jim carey movie) it takes skill to not end up with some horror show Shepard for example

The Japanese don't do much right anymore in games, but they've always had gorgeous charecter models(even the questionible metrosexuals) that are stylized human(IE:MGS series) not just straight up cartoony things(IE: anime) and on the rare occasion they let you have a charecter creator they never touch the cheeks, at most you adjust the eyes/nose/mouth which as a general rule of thumb, is a wise idea.

The more recent shots of Isabela look pretty good to me, and I've not seen or read enough about Aveline to really form an opinion about the character. I'm curious about how they'll handle a relationship with our pirate queen, whether it's just a series of flings over the ten years covered by DA2 or if it will develop into something more serious. That's assuming she is actually a full-blown LI in the first place.

I find neither of the potential female LIs to be romantically interesting. I hope there are others or I will be very disappointed. At the very least make something about Aveline feminine enough to to be attractive. And the fact that the game starts off with her being happily married to someone else is already one big strike against her.

Not really. I'm not weirded out in the least by you having a different opinion. I mean you're not the only one who has disagreed with me in this thread.

Why do you think I'm weirded out? You just ranted at me and I blinked because in the end you agreed to disagree.

I don't like discussing things with people who rant. There's usually very little discussion to be had.

And yes before you even leap on that I include myself in that statement.

Are you kidding me? Because you 'hang out with educated people with large vobaularies' that grants you knowledge of how expansive my literary abilities are? That is one of the more preposterous displays of 'logic' that I have come accross.

How do you figure?

1.  Observe highly educated people with large vocabularies.
2.  Observe random internet person.
3.  Evaluate random internet person for patterns observed in dataset of highly educated people with large vocabularies--does random internet person fit these patterns?

Seems sensible to me.  From my evaluation, your writing style isn't characteristic of highly educated people with large vocabularies having a casual conversation, which suggests you were putting some effort into it.  Perhaps it's normal for you, but people apparently do notice, especially if you amp it as you get more annoyed, hmm?

Here it is in PLAIN english for you: You DON'T know me.

Yes.

You have NO idea what I do, what I've written, or what I am capable of. My use of 'allocate' is PERFECTLY suitable for the context of what I was saying.

I don't know you, I can only go from what I've observed, which led to my original comment that you were trying too hard.  *shrug*  "Allocate" was a bit awkward.  If you're going for fluency, another word would have worked better.

The real problem here... is that you are just an impertinent a**hole

Of course!

Weird I didn't get this wound up when you told me I was ignorant.
