I am not trying to start a flame war by insulting anyones' favorite character, but does anyone know there will be any more romanceable companions in DA2 for straight male Hawke? Not to be brash, but the giant, masculine, short haired barbarian chick does not appeal to my tastes.. and the...let's say....'easy' pirate chick with a jacked up facial bone structure....not so much. I mean..I could deal with her awful face if she wasn't portrayed as such a...'tramp.'

Anyways, I know a lot of people like these companions, but for me...

BTW...Bethany is quite stunning....which almost seems as if they gave us two...'undesirables'.......to tease us..

Not a deal breaker just wondering...  Cheers!

Romances are a subplot in Bioware games.

But thanks for telling the internets and showing off opinions of what you think the body ideal is for women, and what you think the game should cater to. Also your Madonna/Wh*re complex is showing for all to see. Best put it away, it's a bit cold, eh?

uncalled for, man his voicing his opinion... It's not like he completely described his perfect woman and that everyone should look like that...

Wow, try to get noticed on these forums. Better yet, by someone other than an extremeist, or by some other means than being and extremists. Oh well. On the other hand, where do you gamer girls hand out?

Is that what they call it these days? You kids and your slang...

I call it "huge turnoff" personally. I have no issues with people being comfortable with their sexuality. This, however, is an issue of a character in a game forming a romantic bond with my character.  In my mind "romantic bond" and "sleep with anyone, whenever, at the same time" are mutually exclusive.

Not really. I'm not weirded out in the least by you having a different opinion. I mean you're not the only one who has disagreed with me in this thread.

Why do you think I'm weirded out? You just ranted at me and I blinked because in the end you agreed to disagree.

Why else put a "Image IPB" at the end of your post? That seems to imply some sort of weirded/freaked out reaction, does it not?

Uh....yeah. My why do you think I'm weirded out was giving a reason for it not saying I wasn't. I wasn't weirded out by your opinion. Just in the way you presented it.

I don't particularly find Isabela or Aveline physically attractive.

More importantly, I nominate this for thread of the year. It's very amusing.

Listening to the voices of reason isn't exciting, it seems.

If you're asking where we spend time on the DA2 forums, I personally check out the threads whenever a dev posts in hopes of learning new information.  Also, a lot of the ladies hang out in the Fenris thread. Image IPB

I suspect that's why it hasn't been locked yet. It's just too damn entertaining.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to let devs know I would not be angry if they introduced Yvonne to the DA franchise.

I would actually be very pleased if they did.

And no, it was not possible for me to snip that picture from the quote - I mean, look at her!!  Image IPB

Uh, ok? I thought rants were a fairly common occurence on the forums, though?

Anyway. I think we can both agree to disagree. I grow tired of this argument (I hate getting into ANY arguments tbh, which is why I often try and avoid them, but sometimes I just feel compelled to argue for matters I feel strongly about). Kiss and make up? :P

I don't see it. To me, what matters in a relationship is fidelity. So long as the person you're with is going to respect your feelings when it comes to sex (i.e. if you are not into an open relationship, he or she is faithful) I think that's really all that's needed.

But I suppose it varies for each person.

Are you kidding me? Because you 'hang out with educated people with large vobaularies' that grants you knowledge of how expansive my literary abilities are? That is one of the more preposterous displays of 'logic' that I have come accross.

How do you figure?

1.  Observe highly educated people with large vocabularies.
2.  Observe random internet person.
3.  Evaluate random internet person for patterns observed in dataset of highly educated people with large vocabularies--does random internet person fit these patterns?

Seems sensible to me.  From my evaluation, your writing style isn't characteristic of highly educated people with large vocabularies having a casual conversation, which suggests you were putting some effort into it.  Perhaps it's normal for you, but people apparently do notice, especially if you amp it as you get more annoyed, hmm?

Here it is in PLAIN english for you: You DON'T know me.

Yes.

You have NO idea what I do, what I've written, or what I am capable of. My use of 'allocate' is PERFECTLY suitable for the context of what I was saying.

I don't know you, I can only go from what I've observed, which led to my original comment that you were trying too hard.  *shrug*  "Allocate" was a bit awkward.  If you're going for fluency, another word would have worked better.

The real problem here... is that you are just an impertinent a**hole

Of course!

who has nothing better to do than pretend that you know people..

All work and no play makes creature a dull creature.

Get a f****** life.

Weird I didn't get this wound up when you told me I was ignorant.

Assuming you are aware of someone's level of intellect based off of a few posts about characters in a video game forum is laughable.

If your credentials are in fact legitimate, then good for you.  Still, no one gives a hoot.

Comparing it to educated people that you supposedly hang out with is even more laughable; please spare us the english lessons.

You are antagonistic. You want to elicit an annoyed response from me, or you would not have attacked me without provcation or knowledge. To tell you the truth, I'm done debating with you on this, as it has nothing to do with my OP. I will just tell you this.. I am a writer and I love it. I write everyday and I believe I am somewhat proficient at it. I have had some moderate successes.... I write the way I write and I am not trying to impress anyone. I respect almost anyones' opinion, unless it is unfounded and inflammatory. Your opinions match both. If you had read one of my works and thought it was poorly constructed, was filled with syntactic fallacies, and misguided and aimless in general..... I would say 'ok.' But you are making a judgement about who I am, and what you believe my abilities to be. I take great offense to that, because I don't believe it was warranted, necessary, or informed in any way.

In summation... please go bother someone else and stop picking fights with me...
