Favorite ME2 Squad member and least favorite?

Least favorite is Jack (dislike the arrogant tough gal attitude - Shepard has seen it all and he's not one to be impressed by words)
Currently on a FemShep playthrough in ME1. From what I've heard Jacob will be another dislikable character soon.
For MaleShep: Tali is somewhere in the middle. I like her character but I'm put off by the fangirl part. I imagine this won't be an issue for a FemShep but I'll have to see it first.

My usual likes are Garrus and Tali, but that is definitely biased due to them being old comrades whom I trust. Among the new folks, I'd have to say Mordin, Kasumi, and Legion are my favorite characters, though I rarely use Mordin in combat (I probably should, but my main Shepard, a femShep, is an infiltrator, so Mordin doesn't offer much I don't already have). I also find Jack fairly interesting, and very reliable in battle, after you crank up her biotic points (giving her squad warp ammo is helpful for when I want to choose a different special ability).
My dislikes are the usuals, I guess, though I'm biased because I don't like Cerberus at all. Jacob thought leaving someone to cover Garrus in the Archangel misson was a bad idea, so frak him. Miranda is too much of a Cerberus apologist, lamely dismissing atrocities with a "No true Scotsman" argument (constant "b.b.b.but that's not the *real* Cerberus" crap), so frak her (though my maleShep is going to do that literally >:3 ). Plus I hate the way she assumes second in command. Oh, how I wish there were a renegade interrupt to shut that up, but I love disagreeing with her every chance I get. I especially love contradicting her after her "We knew this would be a one-way trip" comment. And Joker's follow-up makes it totally worth it.
Otherwise, I'm fairly neutral on the rest of the characters, as they don't really grab my attention much. I pretty much don't use them on missions outside of their Loyalty Quests.
But, the main reason I think it's really hard to say is because, despite the focus of the game being the characters' stories, I don't actually feel like I get to know them and really build relationships with them well. Part of it is their lack of interactions when out on missions (aside from their own loyalty quests, and the very rare comment at other times), and part of it was a lack of time to work with them. There was very little building. It was like "Here's the character -> Here's the Story -> Go to the next one". In ME1, getting to know the other characters was a process that continued throughout the game, and it felt more natural to come to like or dislike folks (and I didn't actually dislike anyone in ME1, though I found Kaiden rather boring).
So, my opinions on this are subject to change as more is revealed or as I replay more and more and get used to all of the characters more. I may even give the ones I don't like right now another chance.
[edit]
I actually liked the way Tali worked out with FemShep. While I wish there was an alternate dialog tree to continue talking to her, the place where her dialog tree ends is a pretty sweet spot (basically, I assume, right where the romance would begin with maleShep; Tali implies that Shepard is the only person she trusts enough to link suits with, and Shepard can reply, "I trust you too, Tali". I saw the video of the maleShep romance point of view, and it seemed a little creepy, but from the femShep friends/comrades point of view, it's actually kind of touching. But that is the end of the dialog tree and there is nothing else Tali will say).Robhuzz wrote...

This may be one of the reasons I rank Tali as among my favorites. My main Shepard is a femShep I've carried over from ME1, so they do have the history together. Same with Garrus (though I refuse to romance him).

Loved:
Miranda (damage any defenses, buffs)
Kasumi (rapid shadow strike, again rapid shadow strike, ag...)
Zaeed (was very surprised that his grenade stops for a seconds even LOKI with armour. Plus, sniper)
~Legion (Widow, plus he's rather tough)
Not liked:
Tali (finally, remove that shotgun and don't run to enemies. Don't try to spam drone)
Jacob (not so good tank as Grunt, not so good biotic as Samara or Jack... or Thane... or Liara... or Miranda)
~ Morinth (as fragile as her mother and Dominance doesn't work on protected targets. Can't remove defences. However, Dominance sometimes becomes fun)
Story
Loved:
Thane (developed character with long interesting dialogues)
Jack (especially for maleShep. That's what should be called as "character with complicated fate")
Mordin (and whole story with development of genophage)
~Tali (good story but catastrophic amount of dialogues)
Not liked:
Jacob (can't understand his motives, intentions, and that femShep's voice)
Morinth (only positive moment was death from...)
Garrus (character development? Where?)
~Liara (her story with SB looks unbelieveable)

Garrus, Mordin, Legion and Kasumi
What is so unbelieveable? That SB even when he knew about the Reapers and Collectors and he was looking for ways to defeat them, that he still wanted to handle Shepard to them? The only individual that really was doing something about them? That makes perfect sense!mineralica wrote...

Less favorites but I still don't mind using: Mordin, Thane, Zaeed, Samara
Least favorites: Grunt, Jacob (don't really know why, I use him alot), and I really, REALLY, hate Jack. I never liked her. The only time I used her was for her loyalty mission, and maybe 1 other mission.
And I forgot to activate Legion, but I'm playing through a second time, so I'll get him this time.

Subjects of disgust: Humans. Except Kasumi. I appreciate her impressive technical potential.
For all their impressive genetic malleability and potential usefulness (should emotional drives be subjugated and aggression factors controlled), they are ugly like few others. Gosh, I'd even go so far as to say they're shared third on the ugly list, after Scions and Husks. And I am not just talking physical appearance, I find their personalities a tad too... well, human.
What they say is true, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Tactics wise I usually brought
-Miri. For her biotics and tech to bring down barriers and shields. She goes really well with a Infi!Shep.
-Legion. For his sniper skills and also he's a pretty good tank when you need him to be.
-Grunt = Ok tank. Used him for husk hordes.
Eeh I didn't use
-Jacob!.....
-Tali. She has a way with dying. Baffling isn't it?
-Mordin. He didnt suit my fighting style, that....and he dyed every 5 minutes.
Now on to those that tugged my heartstrings.
-Thane. Dammit I'm a sucker for a bad ass with a tragic past.....HA! That rhymed.
-Gar-Gar of course. He's meh bro. I didnt romance him in any of my femshepz. Ouch sorry you've been friend-zoned. >.
-Kai.....did I mention I'm a fan? No? Well I am! X3 Darn you Bioware! Didn't you know smexy dark past-ed rouge-esque types are delicious?
-LEGION!!! Cuz he's awesome, in his smelted on Shep Cosplay!
Edit: HA I just noticed something. With the exception of Legion, all my favorite personalities are male. X3 Though one could argue that Legion is considered more as a bro due to his lower voice pitch and overall male like aura.
But there were those that I'd love to push into a protein vat.
-JACOB! Period. If I hear him say 'But the Priiiiize." one more time....X(
-Samara. Sorry but yawn. She just never struck me as someone I should care about. I didn't mind her loyalty mission though.
-Zaeed. No offence but, well what can I say, I don't really care.
-Jack. Sorry all the shippers out there. If I could talk with her without her thinking that I'm trying to get in her pants then maybe I'd like her. *hums why can't we be friends chorus*
I don't really hate any of the characters. Buut that being said I do have issues with some of them.

Fav:
Mordin (controversial, smart, funny, dramatic sometimes),
Jack (I'm usually in for the characters whos very existence make a debate between the audition.)
Least fav:
Tali (too much pressed towards romance, the character is inconsistent in two major points),
Samara (although I've liked the controversy of the latter, but the char was a codex entry for asari justicars, it could've used some unique touch)
Can't decide:
The almost-none dialogue chars. For Zaeed and Kasumi (although I like the Fireflyishness of the first one) would've required at least some onboard dialogues to help shaping their character.

- Miranda : I could totally see the tension between my Alliance Loyalist Spacer femshep & the Cerberus Loyalist. I imagined they hated each other at the beginning, but after series of events they managed to become good friends. Heck, after she resign from Cerberus she became my femshep's new BFF.
- Samara : I dunno, always liked the Paragon/Paladin type and besides! How can you not love her flying cut scene
- Tali : I love you like a sis, but can you please stop cleaning the engine for a while and have a gossip or two?
- Garrus: I love you like a bro, but your calibrations are starting to drive me nuts..
- Jacob: The only one who calls me 'Commander'
if only you have a friendship track...
Edit: forgot to mention (and for pretier layout )
