I know this is late in the game, and I have seen information throughout these boards and the old that NwN2 does not currently have functionality built in to allow you to change your gear (armor, weapons mostly) in game like NwN1 used to. As I recall, it did not come originally with NwN but was something that came along later.

Are there any plans to allow for people to "craft" the appearance of their armor, even as clunky as the old system was? Not only with color adjustment items, like there were before, but to actually cycle through the possible appearances? 

It seemed that it wasn't actually *that* hard for the team to originally implement, though I'm sure it was down on their list of items. Do we know if the NwN2 team is going to tackle this one? Are they done with those kinds of enhancements? 

I admit this is kind of a deal breaker for me. I like NwN2 and all, but for what I had in mind, I wanted my players to be able to customize their appearance. It's something most games fall way, way short on, and NwN1 *nailed* (at least in its time). I would love to hear that this is planned for the near future. But I'm not sure where Obsidian is... are they at the end of the cycle with NwN2? Are they planning more expansions? New functionality?

Thanks Kamalpoe Still kinda curious if anyone knows what the plans are for NwN2 moving forward, but that handles what can be currently done about appearance.

No new expansions or patches are planned. There was work on a 1.24 patch, but the Hasbro/Atari lawsuit means it has about 0% of the patch seeing the light of day.



The community continues to move it forward. If you want a preview of the future of NWN2, come visit us on irc and see things like flying, swimming (already beta released), and rideable horses, which are all in process. Plus tons of other neat stuff.
