While tailing the senator, a maintenance access worker stops me. I'm trying to play the paragon, so I don't immediately sock him one. However, if I say I'm health inspector or whatever the paragon persuade is, my camera proceeds to get stuck in something and then just have Thane tell me I'm letting him get away forever.
I'm playing the Steam edition of the game, so I can't patch. What can I do to go on, apart from punching that guy's lights out with the Renegade interrupt?

Sometimes it randomly works. Might as well just punch him and get on with the game.

I had this problem too, after the 5th time I decided it was easiest to punch him in the face and move along.

Happened to me just now, on the 3rd playthrough, same as on the first. Damn bug. FIX IT!
