Intresting... and well drawn too.

I have a question: Is the one named Jack Harper TIM? It's really not easy to make out faces when they're drawn like that.

Read the last page..there's your answer..

Looks ok, but it is still only a comic. Book would be better.

What do you have agains comics?

Looking good so far, I just hope it doesn't uncover everything about him, mystery was part of his allure anyway.

Nothing at all, I just find books to be much better at telling stories. In addition, all these Darkhorse comics make characters I know from the game look completly different.

Anybody notice that Ben (Jack's friend) resembles Big Ben, from the ME3 teaser?

I mean, the fact that he's also named "Ben" can't be coincidence, can it? Maybe the marketing department is giving us our first glimpse of a new character?

I see... I can agree about the characterizations messed up (Liara is a clear example of that).

Coincidence. Unless you think that Sniper Ben didn't age in the 25-30 years between First Contact War and Reaper's Invasion.

And Jack Harper, what an original name.

TIM shouldn't have an "original" name.  He was just, to all appearances and even in his own mind, a fairly average, if privileged, human before the Mars ruins and Charon relay were discovered, so he should have a fairly average name.  Having an "everyman" type of name is also a nice fit because it goes with his conceit that Cerberus (by which he of course means himself) "is humanity".  Besides, it's not "John Smith".

Still, "Tim Harper" would have been funnier.

I'm curious as to how the turian can understand the humans and vice versa. You'd think a language barrier would help antagonize one another.

I'm curious as to how they know the names of each others' species. How far into the occupation does this story take place?

Edit: Actually, never mind. Think I understand now after reading it again.

@ DirtyVagrant

This is science fiction!! Learning a language or setting up a translator in a short time is more realistic to me than using the mass relay network.

Yeah, I know, I know. Star Trek has the whole... universal translator thing but I don't think ME has entirely the same thing. According to the codex, it is done through machine, "[m]odern portable computers allow anyone with a few hundred credits of
equipment to enjoy seamless real-time translation of alien languages,
courtesy of handheld PDAs, computers in clothing or jewelry, or
sub-dermal implants". This story accounts for humanities first steps on the galactic scene, they wouldn't have knowledge of turian languages yet, unless they managed to decipher it through prior interrogations. It really depends on how far into the Shanxi occupation this story is set in. The turians might have gotten a grasp on human languages from early reconnaissance?

These might be details that are explained later in the book, after all, it's only a 7 page preview.
I'm already an avid comic book reader so I'm looking forward to adding this to my pull list!

With so many turians around, I wonder if we'll finally see a female walking around?

We only experience ME through english*, so maybe it's an english word for them, and it's not what they call themselves in their own language.  E.g. Germany is called Deutchland in German.

*Or french, german, etc....

With quality of these comics are plot holes more likely than this. But we will see once it will be out. Although every comics from ME universe was just bad (that´s just my opinion, I know)

State of the art ME2 weaponry, awesome.

Wonder if they are going to pop thermal clips for coolness factor.
