I don't know about anyone else but I'm confused.

The only reason I played this was to see which specialization was the most helpful but I couldn't get one. I thoght that maby I was just to low a level and (considering this IS a flash game) the creators just didn't put a quest in to unlock it and you got the specialization at level 7 (like in the real gam) but I hit level 7 (I actually got to level 8) and no specialization. All the companions came with a specialization even though they are equal or lower level to you so I was pretty sure that I could get one if I just kept playing. Do you have to play through a certain amount of times, get all achievments, or get all unlockables? Or did I just get screwed over?

Don't know how this will be in DAJ, but in DAO, you get a spe point, but sometimes, you have to unlock the spe with a quest before being able to use your spe point.

I wouldn't base any decisions in DA:O on how things are in Journeys. Origins has entirely different game balance.

Does anyone know if one will be able to use the unlocked items more than once (like in all chars you create) or just once?

It's odd that you were able to get to level 8 anyhow. In the notes for DA:J, it states that 7 is the max level. You cannot gain a specialization in the first chapter of DA:J, so you didn't do anything wrong. I've played through on every difficulty and unlocked everything to my knowledge. So, I can confidently tell you that you didn't miss anything by not gaining a specialization.

I can confirm that you can indeed reach level 8. I pulled this off on my first run through the game where I explored EVERYTHING. Thanks to the map, you can find all encounters and loot pretty easily.

To reach level 8 your character must also never be dead at the end of a fight; otherwise he won't get experience points.

If you got to level 8, it's a bug in DAJ (there do seem to be quite a few, so it's not that surprising). As soon as a character hits level 7, they have reached the level cap and will gain no more experience. After an encounter it even shows this on the "battle result" screen.



Also, specialisations are not implemented in DAJ at present.
