Has there been any new information regarding DLC for Mass Effect 2?  I haven't heard or seen anything since Lair of the Shadow Broker; and that was released back in September!  Bioware stated that they were making more, but I haven't heard of any...

If anyone has heard anything, would you like to share???

P.S
I like the ideas that have been discussed in this thread for new DLC.

I think the general consensus is that EA is going to force bioware to wait a month or so after the ps3 release of ME2 for DLC. that way ps3 buyers of the game arent completely ripped off. personally i wish it stayed a xbox pc exclusive but whatever.

Yes there will be more DLC, but I'm not expecting more than 1 more story-based DLC pack, ala LotSB.

I kind of agree with you about thinking it should have stayed an xbox 360/pc game.

Well, as long as that story-based DLC pack gives Ashley/Kaidan a come back the way LotSB did for Liara, that would be awesome!

That may be hard because they would have to make the DLC playable post horizon only. Which may be hard to implement.

If it weren't for the PS3 version, we would have gotten something new by now, like Kristofer said in the first post. The next DLC will either come out together with the PS3 version or shortly thereafter.

I don't think it will come out with the PS3 as we would have heard something about it by now for the other systems. Hopefully we will get something a few months later, though.

With ME3 coming out next year, i wonder if they will bring out a new dlc a month or 2 before the 3rd one is released which will be the final one, sort of building anticipation for ME3? BUT yeah, stupid ps3. They should have like an update dlc which gives kasumi and zaeed conversations.

I'm hoping future dlc is set post-SM altogether. I'm guessing they announce something right around the release of the PS3 version. Hopefully sooner than later.

I believe that the next big story-bridging DLC, hopefully centred around Ashley or Kaidan, will be announced shortly after the PS3 port of ME2 has been released. BioWare will want to maximise sales, and what better way to do that than releasing this content whilst the PS3 players are enjoying their new game?

I really can't understand your logic in thinking it will be hard to implement seeing as they've already done this with LotSB.

What I would say though is that it would make more sense for it to be post-Collector Ship as putting it directly after Horizon would be stupid if it involves Ash/Kaidan imho. Putting it after Collector Ship allows for the email from Ash/Kaidan to come through and avoids silly situation of just being blown off by them to instantly going and helping them with something.

Personally though I think the remaining DLC should be post-suicide mission only. We need proper 'bridging' DLC that gives us an indication of what happens between suicide mission and start of ME3. Making it post-suicide mission only means they can concentrate on telling that story rather than trying to do 2 seperate stories based on whether done pre-post suicide mission.

Also one thing to consider there was a 3 month gap between Overlord and LotSB. During that gap, Bioware (imho) made a mistake of announcing it 1 month after Overlord meaning that the social forum was then alight for the next 2 months with people speculating about the DLC and some people even wondering if Bioware had lied about there actually being one. So them being more 'tightlipped' about it makes far more sense, also I imagine if the next DLC is to do with Ash/Kaidan (and the Alliance) I reckon it'll be bigger than LotSB thus will take more time to be made.

You can't do it until after you've met Liara on Ilium, and you can't go to Ilium until after Horizon.
