I downloaded the game from Steam.  I am using it on PC XP svc pack 3.  I am using Windows firewall (have tried turning if off - no go) and AVG for virus protection (also tried turning that off - no go).  I have spybot, but I don't use it for firewall, just for checks when I activate it.  I also use wireless connection, but I am able to reach Steam and also chat with other Steam users in other games.

This is a problem from the beginning, as I was also not able to upload my characters generated with the program before DA was released.  Whenever I go into the game and click on "log in", my internet connection is lost either immediately, or within 30 seconds.  And, as soon as I close the game, it comes back on.

I am assuming this is a problem in my configuration, but I have no idea what I should be looking for to correct it.  Can anyone please help?  (I've had a trouble ticket in to Bioware since Nov. 5th. and all I've heard from them was an email response telling me I would hear from them within 24 hours.  Unforunately, that was the last I heard.)
