No, there are no quests related to them. Like in the OC, there are shops. I'm not sure if they have anything unique in the shops.Wabach wrote...

OK for upgrade but is there any quest related ? Like adventurers from Neverwinter ?
I love to complete everything in a game and your work is really incredible.

The Shou smith in town can do it. The effect of doing it is the same as in the OC, so unless you're going back to the stronghold regularly to collect your stronghold earnings it's not really worth it. I don't remember if the troops visibly upgrade or not.Snemisis wrote...
is it possible to upgrade weapons and armor in the stronghold?

I cannot let Carthon join my party. I can talk to him. And I already dismissed one companion and now my party size is 4. But after my PC says let's find his ancestral tomb with me or something, the dialogues simply ends and Carthon does not join. He is still standing there and I can talk to him again. But the result is the same.
And, some minor bug reports here.
In a chamber where the Tortured King is, an item called Tortured KIng's Essence is on the floor. In my case Tan picked it up as I set "Automatically Pick Up Items" on. As the item is cursed, he cannot drop the item. It is not a big deal, though. The item seems to have no drawbacks. And the King himself has another one.
Some of the merchant is selling a kit which adds Darkvision property to an item. But that one is useless as NWN2 does not handle Darkvison property of items. Maybe you can instead use cast spell Low-Light Vision unlimited use property.
By the way. Now my PC is at his 15th level but I cannot yet find a single piece of the Crown (except for the one given at the beginning). Also, That Earth Genasi FS is the only healer companion I met. I must be a really clumsy and unlucky player, I guess:)

Darkvision on items works in BGR for some reason, so Shallina may know how to fix it. That's the only module I've seen where it works, though. Does low-light vision (the spell, not the racial feat) work at all? Light could be another option. I don't know if Kamal is willing to patch POE again, anyway.Shin Okada wrote...

The crown pieces are found in some specific quests (I can tell you if you don't mind the spoilers). There's a cleric companion in Al-Qasir and another in Calimport. Also, companions can multiclass in POE, so you can change the role of one of them.By the way. I'm surprised you reached level 15 without finding crown pieces. Without spoiling too much, there's one near where you land after leaving Neverwinter. Also, Tan suggests a plan of action for finding out more while you are still in Neverwinter, and that plan should be in your journal. Lastly, the temple/museum in the stronghold city has clues if you look at the exhibits.
As far as healer companions. There's one in Al-Qasir and another in Calimport as Ark said, plus with multiclassing companions the Tortured King makes a good one as he has a high wisdom score. Also Tan has high scores just about everywhere, so he can fill most roles (don't remember if he has high wisdom).

Well, I have completely overlooked those two towns mentioned as they are not on the map. I first went to the monastery and then wonder about a lot of places as I could not find where Ekkathys is.
Until reaching Ekkathys, my party was composed of my PC (Hexblade), Kvas (Rogue/Swashbuckler), Tan (Ranger with a level of Rogue), lira (Rogue/Wizard/Arcane Trickster) and Timoteo (Wizard/AS). Too rogue/wizard heavy
Having no healer in my party until I met the Earth Genasi, and having not much skills to discern the EL of many of the places, I tackled into many areas (then retreated often), again and again. My PC is a Kaedryin's Hexblade with good variety of negotiation skills, he has high Spellcraft but not maxing out Lore. He himself does not have craft skills nor survival.
In regard to multiclassing companions. Unfortunately, Tan is a Ranger and he is a tiefling. That means his multiclassing options (without XP penalty) are quite limited. I made him into a almost-pure-Ranger with a level of rogue, as I thought I may dismiss Kvas in some point (and I did). He is now a efficient warrior and trap/door handler. But his WIS is miserable (9!) and thus cannot cast even the easiest Ranger spells.
As for the Tortured King, I met him after meeting the Earth Genasi. So I made him into Fighter 1/Warlock X as I already have enough melee warriors and I needed someone who can create magic Items. I did not let Lira and Timoteo took Item Crafting feats as the description of the module says essences are quite rare.

IIRC, giving Darkvision racial feat to a PC (via some prestige class feature or via console) works. So, if the item property is not "Darkvision" but "Bonus Feat Darkvision", it may work. But I am not sure if racial Darkvision feat can be chosen as an item property.

If they're not on the map there's something seriously wrong as they are not spawned in, they are placed on the map. Both are in southeast Faerun, close to the ship.Shin Okada wrote...

More precisely speaking, they are on the overland map which you tiled the pictures of the maps Faerune. Now I can see them when I walk near the towns on the overland map .
But there is no pins for those towns on the minimap or the map which appears when I type "m" key.
As I usually play with bird-view (exploration) mode, I did not notice the places which do not have pins on those maps.

How does that make a difference? Also, you can highlight the objects you can interact with (Z by default), which makes it easier to notice.Shin Okada wrote...

Thanks. Let's try to explore the town then.

Angle.
When I am using a bird-view mode, by default, the camera is nearly top-down. So unless I try to rotate the camera into near-horizontal angle, I cannot see something afar. So, before noticing those two towns, I have noticed other places shown on the mini map and area map.
IIRC, I went straight to an arcane refuge or something. Then start to look for the monastery, then start to look for Ekkathys.
And, some of the places are on the area map but cannot be accessed unless I get some information about them. So I thought that is the way places are "hidden" in this mod. I did never realize that there are places which can be easily seen in camera but not on the area map or mini map

Now I have another question. The iron book in the 2nd floor of the castle (which the PC can fetch) tells about the exact locations of the crown parts. But I could only read about the first one (the one near the starting point). When I try to read more, the message says read more or next page or something but then the dialogue ends. Is it a known issue?

The stronghold book worked ...... a kind of. I think you know what I mean
Regarding Carthorn, I could not test it as I have already robbed his ancestral tomb and I don't have saves before doing that. I am planning to play this campaign at least once again, so I will check if it works in that run.
Now my PC is in his level 20th and found 4th parts of the crown. Only 1 is left it seems. The golems in the tower were tough. So as the undead creatures in the City of the Dead.

Then, almost all the Thayans became hostile. But not the ones beyound the portal. The golems there were hostile IIRC.
As I could not attack the assistant of Zulkir, I talked him and he said the sentient golem may talk me his prot or something.
Now, there are non-hostile 3 Thayans including the assistant of Zulkir and a non-hostile sentient golem. I cannot attack any of them. And non of them talk anything more.

PC: Hexblade (Kaedryn's) 21
Tan : Ranger 11/Rogue 1/Blackguard 9
Carcarin : Wizard 11/ASC 10
Mu'tasin : Cleric 11/Hospitaler (Kaedryin's) 10
Tortured King : Fighter 1/Ranger 2/Warlock 18
I am planning to start another run, possibly in new-year holidays. Considering the items and required skills, I may play some Fighter/Wizard or some skill monkey.
By the way, does this campaign have multiple endings? I am asking this because the end roll started rather suddenly, in the middle of combat and when my PC (or some companion?) killed the last foe. I was expecting that Tan will say something in the final scene.

I just finished my first run. This is indeed a biiiig campaign. Though I must have overlooked (or could not complete) several side quests, my PC reached his 21st-level. The final party members were,

Tan : Ranger 11/Rogue 1/Blackguard 9
Carcarin : Wizard 11/ASC 10
Mu'tasin : Cleric 11/Hospitaler (Kaedryin's) 10

No, just the one ending. The endgame may seem abrupt but theoretically those are the good guy adventurers that showed up just in the nick of time to save the day in a normal campaign... until you hunted them down. Karsidin the majordomo of the stronghold will tell you of their progress if you do stronghold missions, though there's no way to stop them.

It seems that in my first run, golems and thayans in golemworks did not have appropriate factions. All the golems except for the sentient one were hostile from the beginning. And some of the Thayans stayed friendly even after I start to kill all the Thayans there.
I just started the 2nd run and met a similar problem in Al-Qasr. I have accepted the hellcat blood quest. Then, when I returned to the inn, the client and the bartender were hostile and immediately started to attack my party.
Is there any way to fix such problems via console command? Or maybe by modifying some files in a saved game?

In my first run, Tan did not say anything about crowns. I could talk to him and ask him about the crown. But that was all. There was no conversation scene or cut scene.
Now, in my second run, I just got the 3rd piece of the crown. Then, when I started to return by walking, a cut scene started and Tan talked something about his true form. But he spoke as if it were the 2nd piece of the crown.
Is Tan meant to say something each time a PC finds a new crown piece?
If so, I did not experienced any in my first run. And skipped at least 1 cut scene in my current run, I guess.
