Hello,

I love the module so far. With some challenging fights (particularly Clay Golems and Greater Elementals were troublesome at my level and equipment.. the Almasi group was really nice too) lots of quests and nice city adventures. Love the graphics of many areas!

I am currently in Calimport Muzad and unfortunately have stumbled into a couple of problems there:
1. The drow Kelzen no longer offers me passage to Underdark. He used to offer it for 5000 gp, but I did't have enough/wasn't ready to go. Now I don't have the option anymore.
2. In the Trade Dispute quest I failed to instant-kill Fadi in the tawern and followed him to his shop. I killed him with his bodyguards there (also a nice fight, a pleasant surprise), but the quest didn't update and I'm unable to finish it with Nadim.
3. I think I probably found the Hidden Treasure in the sewers, but the quest didn't update. Maybe I didn't, I haven't met the djinni in person.

I would appreciate some help as to how fix these things. Of course I'm particularly interested in seeing the Underdark.

The underdark bug was a drow specific bug (so I know you're drow). Those three issues should have been fixed by the last patch, but I also linked on the Vault an overriding conversation I did for the person who discovered the Underdark bug. Can you confirm you have the latest patch?

I can confirm at least #3. I am running the latest version of the mod and also found the model of Sigil in the sewers. However, as reported, the journal didn't update for me even after exploring that area in the fullest. What was supposed to trigger the update -- opening the first gate (clicking on the strange device in front of it) or looting the treasures at the end?

Just going into the area, the trigger is pretty much on the entry waypoint. Getting past the gate is a class related bonus.

I had another question: I just got into Baranthyr and quickly tried to test if the time advancement issue has been fixed. After my initial talk with Karsidin, I exited Baranthyr and then immediately returned (without exiting Ekkathys). Checking the status with Karsidin revealed 0% time had passed. Next, I exited all the way back to the overland map, and then returned to Baranthyr; again, 0% time passed. Am I missing something here and something else triggers the time advancement or is the bug still there?

Same here with the djinni treasure. I have at least two more quests that didn't update: Tortured King's and smuggling yourself out of the drow city at least. Maybe some more, but I don't remember right now, I'll send you a PM if so.

Also, before I forget, the illithid leader won't go hostile if I choose to attack them.

Well I do... sort of. I think I did the mistake of overriding the latest version of poe_patch_hak.hak from "other" file pack with the slightly older separate poe_patch_hak.hak

I'll look up the conversation override on the vault.

Also I play a half-drow :P


Edit: The link to the drow dialog fix seems broken :(

The Guards in Murann are suddenly hostile. This is a new one for me. I had been to Murann and was returning to finish the Bree quest.



Also, I can confirm that neither entering the keep nor talking to the guard captain cause time to progress at the keep at this point (something I forgot to put in the keep report I sent you, kamal).

I had started a new game when you posted the latest base files, so I should have the update. I have tried re-entering Ekkathys from the overland map, re-entering the town itself from the Ekkathys fields, and using the stone of recall from the overland map to re-enter the town. In all of these cases, getting the status of Baranthyr still indicates 0% time passed. Is the OnEnter script tied to a particular area and/or a particular waypoint?

Edit: Checking the module in the toolset, in my limited understanding, I just wanted to make sure that the script should be set for OnEnter (as it is currently) and not OnClientEnter instead.

Edit2: It seems that the area OnEnter script is somewhat broken since the release of SoZ and Obsidian recommends the use of OnClientEnter instead.

it seems the vault has eaten one of my posts, so my ramblings over there might be somewhat cryptic. I have trouble with your cleric companions. Mutasin and Laraissa (sp?) both are set for animal and air domain allthough their feat list says otherwise. Bonus spells are definitely animal and air but no extra feats. Mutasin comes at lvl 6 and Laraissa comes at level 1 with a base hp score of about 80, so if I level her up she ends lvl7 with roughly 150 hp.



Any idea what's happening there?



OC, MoTB, Soz version 1.23, nothing else in the override if that helps you.

Laisera. I've had that issue with Clerics in other modules as well. Laisera has Air and Death (she can summon a shadow), I don't recall about Mu'tasin, but I know he doesn't have Weapon Focus from War domain.

I also noticed the high HP of Laisera, but I didn't make the calculations, it's true that she should have less.

***SPOILERS***



Mu'tasin is level 6 because you might end fighting him. At level 1 he would have been hardly a threat.

I'm not Kamal, but I hope I've been of some help.

Ok, I get Mu'tasins level now. It makes sense.



I checked with both clerics. According to the "front page" of the character sheet both have "Air" and "Animal" domain. The "feat page" says "war" and "destruction" for Mu'tasin and "Death" and sth else (not "Air") for Laisera. Both spellbooks have the according bonus spells (e.g. call lightning) but I believe the "Animal" domain should have an animal companion which they have not.



If it's a known bug I'm fine. I just wanted to bring it to Kamal's attention and see if there's a known fix. At the end of the day it's no big issue. I can live with Mu'tasins stats and I wasn't planning to take two clerics anyway.

I don't know what causes it or if it can be solved, but I've seen the Air and Animal without an animal companion lots of times. Maybe it's something related to the Cleric packages?

I believe Laisera shows Destruction too. I can't tell for sure because I kicked her out of my party.

I don't know which spells are added with Animal, but Laisera can definitely use Death's special ability (summon shadow) and can cast Air spells.

Sadly this fix didn't work. I've tried talking to all merchants in Muzad, none had any new dialog. Neither did the drow.
Maybe it was written for drow PCs only?

Not sure. Air/Animal are the two first ones alphabetically. I'm sure that is a clue to the source. I'd have to launch up a game and see if I can recreate this.
