I Remember Me is a definite.

Also, pretty much the entire romance ending of LotSB.

In ME2, I found Samara's, Mordin's and Miranda's loyalty missions moving the first time I played.

Talking Garrus out of killing Sidonis.

And of course, "Shepard! My friend!"

Mass Effect 1
-Leaving the person on Virmire
-Shepard becoming a Spectre
-"I Remember Me" (colonist side mission)
-Shepard coming from the wreckage at the end of the game (your teamates expressions show it all, then the music and all, so godd*mn epic)
-Shepard's speech on the Normandy SR-1
-Romances

Mass Effect 2
-Seeing the SR-2
-Jack coming out of cryo
-Finding out Archangel was really Garrus
-Seeing Wrex again and him all like "Shepard, my friend!"
-The suicide mission
-Shepard's speeches
-Lair of the Shadow Broker
-Kasumi and her memories
-Romances

Basicly to many to count for me, just some of them The games are filled with such epic and emotional moments.Posted Image

Moments that moved me:

Shepard giving speeches before the SM.

Hearing "Vigil" played when you met Liara Wrex and him going "Shepard! My friend!"

Seeing the Human reaper for the first time.

Horizon

Shepard dying at the beginning of the game.

and the opening cinematic in ME1

From looking over the last few pages, there are 2 that show up the most often: Squadmate reunions, and deaths :( It kind of says a lot about the series - even with incredibly deep character work like Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain, it never felt like you really invested your time personally with the characters, more like you were learning about them while going along the ride. With ME, it's always a choice made, and each one you make always feels like a voluntary learning experience, which makes the rekindling missing members, or losing one all the more heartwrenching D-:

Glad you guys are enjoying the topic 8-)

Yes I am enjoying the topic. In fact it has made me remember other moments I had forgotten about with my distractions at work while making the previous post.

Ashley or Kaidan's last stand on Virmire. "I understand, Commander. I don't regret a thing."

The full Paragon resolution to I Remember Me.

The encounter with Corporal Toombs, especially if Shepard is an Akuze vet.

The conversation with Vigil on Ilos.

Discussing the ethics of the genophage with Mordin over the corpse of a female krogan test subject.

Miranda's reunion with Oriana.

Samara's reaction after killing Morinth.

Overlord ending.

Any conversation with Liara in LotSB, especially the cabin scene.

Wrex: Shepard, my friend! You look well for dead Shepard. Should have known the void couldn't hold you.

The whole suicide mission moved me the most I think...

I wasn't that moved when Ash died... I think one of the only ways I could be moved by a companion dieing is if it was like Asuka's final fight in End of Evangelion...   I mean that was epic, inspiring... but utterly heartbreaking in the end.   Please Bioware, pull off something like this for one of our companions in ME3.

The first playthrough for both games. Its just beautiful. If I could erase the memories of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 so I could play it fresh one more time I would.

Also Tali's romance dialogue in general.

What this guy said. With the exception of the Tali part. (not a Tali fan sorry)

The first playthrough on each game was the best. But playing it again doesn't have that feeling. It's like watching a movie the first time and getting all tense and on the edge because you don't know what's coming next - you don't know who is going to die, what's around the next corner. The second or third times, yeah a little like the first. But after that you lose that special feeling. I agree it'd be cool to be able to erase memories on command and play all three games back to back fresh. It's one of the reasons I'm waiting for GoW 3 to come out before I get the first two. I've played like 1-2 levels in the first one, but couldn't get into it back then. I wish I had the willpower to hold off until ME3. Unfortunately I don't.

Virmire was by far, to this day....the hardest decision to me. I still wonder, what if they were both still alive, you know?

Then...the Romance with Miranda was really tastefully done....music was amazing. She perfectly compliments my Shepard....and I'll see to it that she survives no matter what, even if my Shepard will have to sacrifice himself for it.

Oh dear, you saw it too? Just you mentioning EoE brings back memories. That series was filled with heartwrenching moments, such as when Rei was killed by Armisael. Posted Image

When I first started playing ME, I actually disliked it. I died and died and died. My husband reminded me I have this problem with almost ever game and to keep trying.

I did and when Shepard became a Spectre and everyone came out to watch, it was great.

Then at Virmire I spent close to 5 minutes trying to decide who would get left behind, actually crying because I knew I was going to leave Ash and I could rationalize it as much as I wanted, but it was because I really liked Kaidan.

And the ending when Shepard comes out with that little smile.

ME2

Easy, When Joker came in and when I found Garrus.

Horizon I was really happy to see Kaidan and told Kelly I missed him. Then got the e-mail and just wished I could answer it.

And in the final mission when the flying bug things grabbed Jack and carried her away I teared up. She had been trying to save Miranda, who she hated. Very sad.

Those are my top ones, but I also liked Tali's loyalty mission when I rallied the crowd. I now do that instead of the speech.

Even though I'm not a TalixShepard fan, I saw this scene online and thought it was cute.

No!  Do not apologize!  We all want ME3 to be bloody amazing so it's a good thing to bring up :D  Can you imagine if there was a similar scene half way through ME3 but with someone like Jack?  It would be pretty powerful stuff I think.

ME1 = When using the Paragon answers during your last encounter with Saren, as he's trying to fight the indoctrination. At that moment I felt sorry for that character.

ME2 = By far, the revealing of the Normandy SR2. The music mixed in with the camera sweeps and lighting gave me chills.

"I'll kill you, I'll kill you, I'll kill you!" gives me shivers everytime I hear it.

I just nerd out when people mention Evangelion because NONE of my friends know about it or know too little about it...
