ME2
Shep Death was the first time I teared up a little EVER watching or playing something that I can recall. Any part with Tali in it, Jacks Mission, Watching Jack die during final mission though I had enough par points to settle things without taking sides... Finding out Wrex could die from a friend... I never knew until my friend kept having it happen. I did 12 playthrus of ME1 and never had it come up. Ash coming back and being a complete turd to me. The rest of the crew joining me on the new normandy. The Reaper conversation, Seeing Liara again, getting pissed I couldnt LI Tali in ME1 and going for Liara instead. I loved taliking to her. Ash racism and me trying to straighten her out. Anything Garrus, Jacob being the first Cerebus agent I thought could actually be good, The Illusive man and his lack of all info during missions.
All ME books as a whole. Too much to type. Anderson is the man.
Edi telling Joker she likes seeing humans on their knees! I couldnt find Edi a body fast enough so she could LI joker. Or me Edi. Dont judge!

I remember as my first shepard on ME1, getting to the final "section" with Conrad Verner. When I put the gun to his head, he said "Real heroes don't do things like that! I wish I had never met you

I'll add another one since this topic is still hot hot hot :-P

I wish I had never met you :(" I felt like such a monster after doing that... Yeah, he's conrad verner, but it still burned so bad, he didn't deserve it.... I'M SORRY CONRAD! ;_;
I always felt a little sorry for him in ME1, so I ended up choosing all the Paragon dialogue options... then he turned up in ME2 and started acting like a ****.
"So, you're alive, huh? I hear it goes like that in the biz."

The first playthrough for both games. Its just beautiful. If I could erase the memories of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 so I could play it fresh one more time I would.
this is sooooooo true

ME2: Overlord for the "oh $#!T" factor or LotSB for that "oh $#!T" factor!

Another personal favorite was talking to Vigil. The soundtrack playing at the time and the whole we must stop Saren in time made it feel ten times more epic than whatever Mass Effect 2 did imo.

Ending of the Overlord
Mordin's loyalty mission and the conversation at the female Krogan corpse. Creating and using the genophage was a massive decision.
Beginning of ME2,Shepard's death - so sad,so great
I prefer ending where Jacob gives him a half-loaded gun to commit suicide. It is just unforgettable.
Saren: Thank you, Shepard.
Seeing Wrex again
So far only agree with the above
Also the first time i put the ME disc in the tray, the music in the menu was more than enough to convince me of it's grandure.
The credits song was excellent, bw knows what to do to keep me reading it xd
Thane romance was also great

So this means that, technically, video games are as much a part of our culture as anything else. And ME happens to be a marvel amongst them all.

Virmire. I remember after the option to save Kaidan or go back to Ashley came up I probably sat there for 10-15 minutes just thinking, "Damn. What do I do?" I had never had to make a decision like that in a video game before. I remember after the mission I was pretty bummed over having lost him and it just seemed really melancholy on the Normandy until I beat the next mission. I didn't much care for LT, but he was still a member of my squad. Damn you, Saren.
Mass Effect 2:
For me, it has to be that first moment on the Normandy with my Sheppard. I remember I rented the first Mass Effect back in December of 2007 for my winter break from high school. My family couldn't afford Christmas gifts so I just went ahead and rented a game. I saw there was one copy left of Mass Effect, but I had never heard of it. I had always been a sports gamer. Madden, NCAA, NBA 2K, all those games were staples in my collection. I figured I'd give it a shot, though. Sure enough, Mass Effect was incredible and became my favorite game. I never bought it though, because I didn't see the point. That was my ONE playthrough. I didn't think there would be a sequel, either. Not because it was a bad game, but because I wasn't sure how they would do it. So I went for those roughly 2-3 years without ever picking up Mass Effect again. When I played the second one, it was "back to business" for me. I knew it was time to kick some Reaper ass, and it was interesting to see those choices and my Sheppard, because I had forgotten all about him and my choices.

Like most people virmire when i had to make the choice between ashley or kaiden i must have search for an hour on how to save them both but in the end i chose ash because i felt i knew her better i know they're not real but there still part of my squad i didnt know about the scene before ilos so that came as a surprise.
Mass Effect 2:
Honestly it was when i was on illium and walked past an ad talking about the kaiden alenko memorial and i stopped everything i was doing and just listened to the whole thing

Anderson: Shepard's right. Humanity is ready to do it's part. We must stand and fight as one, and when the Reapers come, we will stand together and drive them back into dark space!

Mass Effect 2 - The reunion with Wrex, because at that moment, all the crap with Cerberus, and him being gone for 2 years, didn't matter, all that mattered at that moment was Wrex had his old friend back, D'AWWWWWWWW

ME2--Less moving. :/ Of course, I bought ME brand new without any prior spoiler knowledge, so I attribute spoilers to some of that. Shepard dying at the beginning was pretty moving (though I was disappointed you couldn't kick Joker's ass when you saw him later). Horizon was extremely moving. When I saw Kaidan I was just floored and just SO hurt by the conversation there I actually felt a little sad.

Shepard: STACK UP! DONT LET ANYTHING THROUGH THAT DOOR!
*Garrus, Grunt, Thane, and Shepard all line up and raise their rifles*
Also any cutscene from the Suicide mission moves me.

ME2 - Garrus! (Shepard emotes a lot for Garrus), Wrex (Krogan hugs), final speech and telling TIM to bite her. I love Mordin's loyalty mission - its a giant grey area - always good in my book.
That's just what I can recall - so many good moments that's its really hard to single any out.

Horizon Reuinion (as for it was a human reaction, and I didn't expect it to be this well delivered)
Shepard dying (for the first time)
Jack breaking the 'Ice Barrier'
Uncovering Thane's questionable achievements as a father - and his disturbed thoughts about it.
Garrus cliffhanger (I mean when we didn't know if he's dead or alive)

It got capped off perfectly with the Paragon interuption where you remind him he isn't a murderer. It was probably the greatest character driven mission in either ME1 or ME2
