Missing Save Files

Hello there.

I've recently purchased DA;O for the 360, and I've encountered problem. While my first experience playing through went well, (the most I encountered was a small audio glitch that sometimes caused characters to repeat themselves in conversations. This is not an issue.) something went wrong after I turned the game off and tried to play again later. The save files I had created were not there. At first, I thought that this had been my fault, seeing as I had turned off the game rather hastily, and might have cut a save short. But, after playing through again, and saving again, I made sure that I waited for the game to save fully before I turned it off. But, the next time I went to play, I had a different issue. The save files I'd recently created, 6 total, were gone, and the first two that I'd assumed were deleted were back. (an autosave and a manual save.) I checked the Xbox Memory, and found that all of the save files I'd created were on the system. However, when I started the game again, only the first two were available. Thinking it might solve the problem, I deleted my first save files from the Xbox dashboard, and started again. Now, the game shows that I have no saved memory, and must start a new game.
My Xbox is the Pro version, with around 45 gigs of memory still free. My version of Dragon Age is American, and does not include any DLC. I am not connected to Xbox live, and thus, have not downloaded any patches for the game.
Can anyone offer any assistance?

It may also be worth noting that the memory also affects the achievements, somehow. When I played through the second time, none of my achievements from the 1st were shown as unlocked. When my first save file reappeared, the same was true of the achievements I'd gained from the second.

i think you might need to download the patches by using a memory card and the plug it into ur xbox and download them from there.

Perhaps. I'm planning on doing it anyway, since I've just discovered a number of other bugs that make several of my characters completely useless. It's nothing specific, but hopefully the patch will fix it. I will post again if the issue remains unresolved.

Unfortunately, I'm having trouble find a download for the Xbox version of the games patches online, and Bioware doesn't seem to have any support for those who aren't connected to Live. I might end up returning the game, as I can't really enjoy it as is.

All right, the issue has been resolved. I was forced to connect the box to Live, but the game works now. Thanks for the help.
