Even if she despises them as much as Velanna she seemed like the sensible, rational type who can control her emotions.

Again, all hypothetical.

Despite the ending tagline, your prediction logically makes sense, storywise...

Unless the writers suddenly appear and state she has a major thing for humans... Talk about a major spoiler and total flip on a personality.

Blood Mage is a specialization, not a class.

I don't think they would bring a blood mage character, since each character that joins seems to have a unique specialization and you can take the blood mage specialization.


Though if they did the character that joins might have his/her own unique specialization that compliments their blood mage skills for example a demon summoner, soul devourer etc..

I hope that if Merrill is a companion, the devs have given her a sizeable number of nature-based unique spells. Dalish magic is meant to be very different from Circle magic, and I don't think the Keeper specialization in Awakening was different enough. IMO Keepers should be a bit like DnD druids.

i remember what dagna asked of my mage in origins about mages. something like 'is it true that you can manipulate natures forces with the power of your mind? like you were born with lyrium in your veins?'

that little line sort of made me think of druids. that and the fact that my mage could summon storms and earthquakes lol.

but i agree she should use earth spells and summoning animals and have awesome healing skill. and possibly fire spells cosidering sylaise gave them fire.

well another spoiler that i think was mentioned in that article was that merrill is also a 'dalish pariah' which has 'bonds' with blood mage.

Which sounds pretty damn awesome if u ask me. Afterall, zathrian used blood magic to create lady of the forest/witherfang.
