Merrill as a companion? That means we'll have two elven mages, Bethany and possibly Anders? Even if the speculation about Anders proves to be wrong, two elves of the same class is a bit to much.

When and where ? The only thing Ser Gaider confirmed in the Fenris thread is that Fenris is not a sword and shield warrior.

I forgot. You are right. We'll just have to see what the "Ostagar" level in DA II is. Maybe it's with the Dalish tribe, but maybe not.

She sounds permanent. After the quest with Flemeth´s amulet is resolved, the keeper Marethari even pushes her to leave the clan and to relocate to Kirkwall.
And regarding the question about the gamestar article.: That is just a translation of what Mr. Gaider said in one of the s/s-romance threads. They also mention the four revealed companions and Fenris gets mentioned as the elven mage Fenris.

Plus, just because they did something with companions one way in DAO doesn't mean they will in DA2.

The different origins demanded temporary companions or balancing around no companions at all. There is only one origin this time.

i really dont think so. i could imagine it to be lothering tough, technically ostagar was the first level, origin storys excluded.

There is a image of Flemeth saying to deliver an amulet to the elf origin clan's leader (Marethi? Something like that. I saw the image once or twice and I never played the Dalish Elf Origin)

I reaaaaaaaaaaaally want a male mage this time! (Not Fenris.) I hated being stuck with Wynne and Morrigan or nothing when I didn't play as a mage in DA:O.

you had Anders in DA:A xD. what we really didn't have yet was a female warrior... but well get that now^^
