True, class wise it leaves 2 handed warriors, rogues and dog/shale type "non classes", but as he's swinging a dirty great sword with a handle ideal for two hands, I think we can jump to some conclusions.

garret is also swinging one nasty two hander that turned out to be a mage staff so....

yeah, though that staff clearly looks more glaivey/polearmy than swordey, I figured he was a mage when I saw it

incidentally though, glaives/polearms would be AWESOME to use ingame as a warrior, though their use might not make sense

I just did exactly that. :happy: I'd forgotten about her completely.
All I can say is that I hope they redesigned her with less makeup. That pink stuff was just ghastly.
I wouldn't mind if her voice is the same, though - she had a nice voice.

Erin Matthews did not voice any major characters in DAO (Merrill, Valora) and could return. Isabela's voice actress did not because she also played Anora.

Hey thats not fair. I like Merrils character she's cool, confident, and dedicated with out being b****y. Besides I'm still sort of, maybe, possibly planning on romancing Fenris I just think its cool that Merrils an option..maybe.

I do hope the point about Merrill being a companion is true. And hopefully she will be a LI, then that would be my target LI for my male Hawke........lol.



also, it's making me want to play DAO again with the Dalish origin. Considering that one of the "pre-defined" backstories for DA2 can be of a female Dalish elf who sacrificed herself to kill the Archdemon ( and put Alistair and Anora on the throne ), I might want to model my playthrough based on that.



and if Merrill is indeed a companion, maybe she will mention the Dalish Warden in conversation.........

Just finished it for the second time awhile ago, and you're right; I like her voice, too. Not a lot of room to get to know her as a character, but that's understandable, given the extremely small part she plays. She almost reminds me of a more serious mage Shianni. Though, like I said, it's hard to tell with so little interaction.

Also, her voice actress' name is Erin Matthews, which is my name and then my brother's name, so she must be cool. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]

And this is assuming that the rumor is true that she's a companion at all. Which I hope it is.
