Reapers are giant squid ships. Protheans were a little taller than us. I understand the Reapers destroying worlds, but how did they get rid of or harvest the Protheans on the Citadel during their attack (and in that case, how did they harvest them in the first place??) Same for the thousands of other civilizations that were wiped out by the Reapers.

It's not like the collectors did it because the collectors are the protheans - unless they had some other genetically modified race enslaved. Maybe indoctrination?? But doesn't that take weeks/months?

Maybe Reapers just have their own personal pawns as well that we haven't seen yet (maybe in the ME3 teaser!!)

So what do you think?

I'd imagine that the Reapers already had some Protheans who were indoctrinated by the time they launched their attack.

The indoctrinated Protheans probably took care of the Citadel occupants. That or, as you said, they had another race they were controlling.

EDIT: For all we know, the Protheans created their own version of the Geth - rebellious AIs who were later manipulated by the Reapers.

1)Let them starve

2) Use husks/ ground troops against them

3)Citadel security systems could kill them?

4) Indoctrinate

The Citadel is basically a big city, built around the form factor of an organic being. The Reapers are bigger than dreadnoughts and as such couldn't exactly walk the halls killing things that were hiding.

I think they just shut off air and emptied the whole place. Then, when they knew from their sensors that every organic but the keepers were dead, they had the keepers clean up.

Pretty simple really. And just shoot any ships that manage to leave.

of your saying how the were able to hunt down every single one. Well the reapers control the citadel and every single life support system. So ... damn I am really sry had a bad day and I think I took it outon u on my original post.

In anycase, the citadel's gravity , life support, weapons, data, defense systems are all controled by the reapers.

Like saying how come you were able to kill every ant in your ant farm that is in your room. Well you control everything about it. Its food, movement, supplies, air. Cloe is in suck out the air and its not even a siege. you just wait. Whoever tries to escape has to go through space. In which case they get blasted. if they stay in the citadel they die of starvation, exposure etc.
