I find Tali quit usefull in ME1 and used her as a base team mate.
In ME2 however she is quit useless and she often got my team killed in combat.
I find her more independate and mature then in ME1.

Well you see, Mr. Kroganman.
There is a difference between legitimately disliking a character with legitimate reasons and being a troll. For example, lets say there are two posters that dislike tali. One of them literally posts an essay about why they dislike tali with valid reasons, without insulting anyone, and the other poster says "Lol tali is stupid because
talimancers retards and whiny a lot" and repeatedly posts the ridiculously over used tali headshot banner. Now pretend your a tali fan, which one of these posters do you think has an intellectual level of a peanut and therefore needs to be smacked with a 20 inch stale baguette?

We don't bash you for having an opinion, we simply ask that you be respectful about it, don't bash the character and expect not to get some sort of a reaction. If you can't create a thread and be respectful in what you say, whether positive or negative, then don't create it. Doing so will get the reaction that this thread has now gotten.
At the same point, if you dislike a character, it's one thing; Actually hating a character is another, you can do both in a respectful manner, if you so desire, the fact that the OP did not, is the reason why the thread has got the response it has.

Nothing wrong with hating a character. Nothing wrong with even killing a character in-game. Your playthrough, your business. The problem again is that this thread did not start with a discussion question. It started with an inflammatory proclamation. I don't have a problem with the opinion, but rather the manner in which the opinion is addressed. I am not bashing anybody. I'm saying picking fights is lame.
*Addendum* If anybody wants to discuss Tali's flaws in character or design in a civil fashion, I am more than willing to do that.

I am not spreading any hate, I just wrote why I do not like Tali and that sometimes I kill her off. Not forcing this on anyone in any way. I don't even hate her per se, I just find her annoying.

Again, agreed. I just do not think there is any mindless bashing, OP found Tali annoying and made a thread. (S)he has not said "Tali is lazy and sucks". I have not seen any insults either.

What purpose does an "I wanted to airlock Tali. Who's with me?" thread serve in a discussion forum? Discussion started but it wasn't for any reasons provided by the OP. She isn't asking for discussion even amongst people who agree with her. Such threads prompt drama. The reason I first posted is because drama had started. It has since stopped. I say that inflammatory thread title was a catalyst and it is only through consistent refusal to resort to theatrics that is has been avoided. Either this is a discussion thread or it is a "I hate Tali" proclamation thread with no purpose but "sign if you agree."

You know, you can say the same ("this is not productive discussion") in any given support thread where 99% of the posts are either pictures or "xyz is so cool...*drools*" posts.

And this. To which I say, if this is not meant to be offensive or inflammatory, then I don't know what is.Just got finished with my 2nd female shep renegade, and my hatred for Tali was only deepend. I was actually glad when she was the only one that died on the suicide mission. She complained way too much, but didn't really have any character "upside."
This is a completely disrespectful comment. If such things are actually going through peoples minds, then that is where it should stay. I could easily quote the old "if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all," but really, I advocate freedom of speech, so long as it is respectful. The only "sword" she was willng to throw herself on was that of Shepard.
"Cut me in half, Shepard! Oh, let me be your space princess! Don't matter you didn't give me that Geth data in ME1 and I wasn't talking to you back then, I'm still soooooo on fire!!!"
Yes you are, Fat Chicken Hips! Burn-burn-burn!!! says I, every time she is incinerated in the Engine Room!

Good for you, but what does that have to do with this thread or Tali? No one is stopping you. Actually, there have been some Jacob "hate" threads on this site. I don't recall anyone coming in and saying "Not cool, close this!". Double standard? No way.

This. The OP. Without giving any feasible or reasonable explanation, either, other than saying she was annoying. And then saying that he was glad that she died. That was bound to get a reaction. As I have already said, if any of this could have been put more eloquently, it would have been better received, but in truth, is seems that absolutly no thought for the general community was given in either of them.

That said...I don't use here either. I prefer Legion because he has combat drone and AI hacking like she does. Her loyalty power is good on Shepard but otherwise I would rather just take Zaeed for squad disruptor ammo.
