I actually have 2 canon Shepards: Matt Shepard & Amanda Shepard

Matt Shepard :innocent:

He is a Soldier (later a Commando), a Colonist survivor of MIndior and a decorated War Hero.

Having lost everyone he holds dear, Matt Shepard has dedicated his life to the preservation of peace and stability in the galaxy. Instead of turning to rage over the attack on his home, he focused his energies on training and honing his skills as a soldier. Matt Shepard is considered to be a harbinger of peace, striving for co-existence between humanity and the rest of galactic civilization. He is kind and considerate, and most importantly patient with all sentient life. He tries to approach each situation from a position of humility (This is evident when he assisted C-Sec in peacefulling subduing another survivor of Mindior), restraint and virtue. Despite this he is not above violence when all other options are exhausted, or if he or his friends are placed in harms way.

On the Citadel, Shepard resolved many conflicts with tact and poise, enabling most encounters to end bloodless. Whilst trying to track down Saren, he accepted the help of C-Sec Officer Garrus, who, unbeknownst to him at the time, would become one of his closest friends. When Garrus' past came back to haunt him, Shepard managed to convince him to leave his rage behind, and Dr. Saleon was arrested.

On Noveria, Shepard removed the corrupt government official from power, reunited Benezia with LIara and brought her back from the brink of madness, and allowed the Rachni Queen to go free.

On Feros, he showed great restraint in not killing Ethan Jeong, used non-lethal force to ensure all colonists of Zhu's Hope survived, and allowed Shiala to live.

He started a relationhip with Ashley Williams, due to her headstrong attitude and passion. This choice was put under great pressure when, on Virmire, Shepard chose to save Ashley due primarily to their relationship, and sacrificed Kaiden Alenko, a desicion that still haunts him to this day.

He also came close to losing his friend Wrex on Virmire, even drawing his weapon on his Krogan companion, but was fortuantely able to talk him off the ledge.

During Sovereigns assault on the Citadel, Matt Shepard chose to save the Council, with the understanding that the needs of the galaxy outweigh the needs of just humanity. When Saren confronted him, Shepard tried in talk him down, ultimately leading to Saren realising the error in his judgement, and taking his own life. After the battle, Shepard nominated Captain Anderson to be humanity's representitive, and set out to find a way to stop the coming Reaper Invasion.

After the Normandy was destroyed and his body repaired by Cerberus, Shepard found an uneasy alliance with the Illusive Man, Miranda and Jacob. He found it difficult to trust the Illusive Man, but found a good friend in Jacob and a potential love interest in Miranda. When given the option to return to the crash site, he went immediately, recovering the tags of his fallen comrades and greiving at the loss of his XO Pressly. Realising he would need to work with Cerberus to avoid future tragedies, he reluctantly agreed to work for them. However, this was a ruse as Shepard immediately returned to Anderson, and informed him of his plan, spoke with the Council and regained his Spectre status. Matt Shepard is loyal to the Galaxy... to the end. This led him to resolve situations in contrast to Cerberus's wishes such as letting Veetor go back to the migrant fleet, instead of to the Illusive Man for "tests". When recruiting his team for the suicide mission, Shepard spoke freely to all, and assisted each team member in resolving their crisis with patience, intellect and valor. He found Garrus a broken Turian, but helped him regain his honor and dignity, he assisted Tali with the Migrant Fleet, leading to peace, and destroyed the Genophage data, despite Mordin's protests. When confronted by his love, Ashley Williams, he was devestated at her attitude towards him, and a part of him died inside. He left Horizon a defeated hero. This dark period led to Shepard flirting with Miranda, and even finding himself attracted to Tali. Ultimately he slept with Miranda, and will have to live with the guilt when confronted by Ashley in the future. Despite this, he still loves Ashley.

During the final suicice run, he found all of his team loyal to the end, and, using smarts and blind luck, was able to save all of his companions. He decided against keeping the collector base, a final middle-finger to the Illusive Man, and returned to the Citadel, reuniting with Anderson and rejoining the Alliance.


Amanda Shepard

She is an Inflitrator (later an Agent), was born on Earth and has a reputation for achieving victory, whatever the cost (Ruthless).

Born into a hard life on Earth, Amanda had to resort to horrific choices in order to survive. After killing a rival gang-member out of blind rage, she decided to join the military to avoid continuing down a path that would surely lead to her death. After enlisting, she showed great skill with weapons, and had a natural instinct for survival. Her reputation as being cold, brutal and calculating, however, often preceeds her. While she harbors a great hatred for aliens, as evident when she took great pleasure in murdering a turian gangmember on the Citadel, she realises that showcasing it publicly would only hinder her in the present and the future. Always one to turn to violent means of resolving situations, Amanda has been known to show her tender side, especially towards her fellow humans. In the end, this Alliance Marine is tough as nails, and makes damn sure her enemies get what's coming to them.

On the Citadel, she resolved many conflicts violently, with most encounters ending with a bodycount. Whilst trying to track down Saren, she accepted the help of C-Sec Officer Garrus, who she would befriend, and ultimately mould into a ruthless killer, culminating in her allowing him to mercilessly execute Dr. Saleon.

On Noveria,
Shepard removed the corrupt government official from power, executed
Benezia while LIara looked on hopelessly  and took great pleasure in murdering the Rachni Queen, thus ending the Rachni Threat forever.

On Feros, she gunned down Ethan Jeong, massacred all the colonists of Zhu's Hope, but strangely allowed Shiala to live...

The most out-of-character moments for her were undoubtably when she started a relationhip with Kaiden Alenko. She saw something in him which touched her emotionally, and she often showed great tenderness and love towards him.On Virmire, Shepard chose to save Kaiden due primarily to their relationship, and sacrificed Ashley Williams, a desicion she only regrets because Ashely was a human and nothing more.

When Wrex drew on Shepard, she did not hesitate to put her compantion in an early grave.

During Sovereigns assault on the Citadel, Amanda Shepard chose to sacrifice the Council, finally getting the chance to install humanity as the dominant force in the galaxy, and secretly because they pissed her off so much with their constant indesicion over the Reapers, and their belitteling of humanity. When Saren confronted her, Shepard called him out on the errors in his judgement, ultimately leading to Saren taking his own life. After the battle, Shepard nominated Udina to be humanity's representitive, and set out to find a way to stop the coming Reaper Invasion.

After
the Normandy was destroyed and her body repaired by Cerberus, Shepard
found an a common ally with the Illusive Man, She found it easy to follow the Illusive Man's orders, taking pleasure in "protecting humanity and their interests"  to the end. This led her to resolve
situations in tandum with Cerberus's wishes such as giving Veeto to the Illusive Man. When recruiting her team for the suicide mission, Shepard immediately cemented her place as the leader of the group, and assisted certains team members in resolving their crisis threw might, power, violence and ruthlessness. When confronted by her love, Kaiden Alenko,
she was devestated at her attitude towards him, but realised why he was so upset.. She left Horizon down, but not out. Despite the advances of several crew members, she found her love for Kaiden too strong, and remained loyal to him until the end.

During the final suicice run, the team suffered heavy losses. Due to the Normandy crew being abducted, Amanda went headstrong into the Omega Relay without the proper preperations. Thane, Tali, Zaeed, Mordin and Miranda all lost their lives to the Collectors. In the end though, their sacrifice was not in vain and the Collectors were thrawted. Amanda decided to keep the collector base, a final nail in her Alliance career and the last step towards joining the Illusive Man and Cerberus permanently, on a quest to stop the Reapers.

All major plot points have the "Paragon" choices with one possible exception. She has a very strong personal ethic, and generally tries to leave things better then she found them while keeping the big picture in mind. She does have a temper (she got those renegade points from somewhere) but works to keep it in check.

Paragon with at least 30% Renegade. But all big decisions are paragon. She believes in neutral - why the heck is killing Sidonis or shooting mech considered bad? Renegade interupts are amazing.
Kaidan as LI - Stayed loyal because there was nothing else to do, even if she is hopelessly in love with her pilot, whose she cant have.

Ungrateful Galaxy politicians still alive, with Anderson enjoying their politics.

In first Suicide mission lost Legion and with Kelly as reaper food. (But I had to rewrite because I couldnt bare to lose Legion)
Base destroyed.

Romance: I entertained a romance with Ashley in ME1 but then she died on Virmire. In ME2, I went for Miranda and we made passionate love to the sound of the Normandy's purring engines. Tali seemed eager for some after-hours Shepard action, but I gave her the cold shoulder. You can't exactly blame me, though. Miranda is genetically perfect.

Feros: Everyone stays alive.

Noveria: Rachni Queen lives.

Virmire: Ashley sacrificed.

Citadel: Original Council wiped out. Anderson left in charge.

Loyalty: All squad members loyal. Lost Jack as a result of my response to the Miranda/Jack incident.

Jacob: Ronald Taylor left to be killed by the savages.

Garrus: Prevented Sidonis from being killed. (Paragon ending.)

Jack: Aresh killed by Jack.

Samara: Morinth killed by Samara.

Legion: Geth re-programmed.
