Who will be playing DA2 on a console and why?

If that's something you actually do in-game, like count out the score "One, two, three!" (LOTR ayone?), you've just proven all the faith that I've had in Bioware over the years is totally worth it.
"How many do you have?"
"43."
"Argh. 41."
"Sweet, you pay for drinks this time."

Now you've slipped into teasing!Obviously you can't get into specifics, but how does the feel of playing DA2 on the 360 compare to the feel of playing DA:O on the 360?
Better, I think, but I'm about as biased as it's possible to be. The key changes are being able to issue move-to-point orders from the radial, so you can move your party around, and since you can pretty much count on your characters to fire/act sooner to when you push the button, there's a snappier response. Personally, I've been working on lining up shots that blow through the target, hitting everything in a path; can't do it often in a fight, but it's very satisfying when you do. And if you're teamed up with a mage?
Well....you'll learn more about how that works later.

Combination of magic lightning spells (bzzztt!!) reflecting off arrows into enemies whilst arrows kill currently-shocked/unmoving targets? Yes!
Or, well, any combination of a mage and a ranger doing something awesome like that. Combination stuff, especially well-implemented like I know BioWare would do it, would be so, so epic. Tears of joy.

I like that idea. It would also be cool if you could do a combination of a fire and ice spell to make a pool of water on the ground where the enemies were, and then shoot a arrow with a lightning spell on it into the water. It would be cool...but overall redundant.

That'd be a lot of work, lol. Just freeze them (via mage) and let rip on them with a big 'ol hammer. Smash, smash. Victory!
Unless they're freeze-resistant. Then you have to, like, set them on fire or something. I dunno.

When I got an e-mail about the signature edition and checked it out at an online shop, I finally decided to just get the PC version this time. It'll be just AT LEAST as good as the console version, and quite possibly superior again. Plus, I'm saving like... 14 euros by buying the PC version. For you Americans, that's like... a billion dollars.

Why wont i ever buy a console?
The price of the games is a total ripoff, 50 or 60 quid for a game
My rig is far superior to either of the main players in the console market,, although if Sega ever made a comback i might be tempted .

I was a strong defender of the PS3 version, but I have to admit that Origins performs better on Xbox (no video/audio clipping). Not to mention updates and DLC came out on Xbox first, so I'm expecting the same for DA2.

This. But i am really tempted to buy a console whenever the pc dates of some games get delayed. Like AC.

Meanie that I am, I will simply note that I am playing DA II on a console right now.
But don't be jealous, I'm -also- playing it on the PC to see if the same bug appears on all three platforms, so it's not all fun and games.
What are you playing as?
Female rogue bow specialist who's currently competing with Varric for most thugs pincushioned. She's winning, but only barely.
That's unfair... you are having all the fun (big grin).

I like playing from my couch, but I'll admit, it isn't that hard with an HDMI connection and bluetooth peripherals to use a pc in the living room. I'll also concede that the availability of the editor and mods on pc is a selling point for the pc version. I'll be enjoying DA2 on the console for one reason really, economy. When upper tier computers cost what my console did, then I'll buy one and start playing games on pc again.

I have lerned that trying to keep up with updates, mods and thier updates, and getting everything in sync can be just as involving as the game itself. I'm going to wait for the game to simmer awhile this time.

Mike, is it possible you could confirm if the PS3 version will support 1080p like the 360 version ( and if the PS3 version will be the same graphic and performance wise )?
With DAO, the 360 version said it supports 1080p display, while the PS3 version said it supports 720p. Also, there seemed to be some framerate issues with the PS3 version.........
