Sadly, I own neither console, so I will be playing it on my sub-par PC (which fortunately can play it judging by the specs). My friend will be buying it on 360 though, so I will be able to, hopefully, play both.

I started playing Origins on the PS3 platform but switched to PC when I noticed certain discrepancies in quality and support between the two versions. For DA2, I'd *probably* return to the console version if there was a way to transfer my save files, and I say that as someone with Crossfired 5870's; case in point - I'm getting the PS3 version of ME2 when it comes out.

Here are my reasons (in order of most to least important to me): I miss my controller and radial menu; I have a general feeling that Bioware has learned from its past mistakes with the consoles; the ports are being done in-house this time; some of the PC advantages are up in the air or gone completely (toolset, overhead camera view); I miss stretching out on my comfy sofa in front of the big screen.

Why not hook those X-fired 5870's up to your big screen tv?  Don't they have HDMI outputs?

I will be playing it on a consol as well. Basically because my PC is old, and I am tired of upgrading it all the time for games.

I'd love to play on a PC, but I have a really crappy laptop that could barely even load Origins on its lowest settings. I used to be a dedicated PC gamer, but I just don't have the money anymore. This laptop's the only one I'll be able to afford for quite some time unless I win the lotto, so I'll be playing DA2 on the PS3

I got Fable and Morrowind on PC; both felt awkward for me, so now I don't play any combat games on PC. There is also the reason that I've had various problems with PCs in the past, so I don't like to clog up hard drive space with games. Another is that the mouse pad on a laptop is far from ideal. And about mods; fair enough if you've got a safe site to download from, but risky if not. How do you know they're not crawling with viruses?

PC, of course. I prefer playing tactically on a high difficulty setting, which just isn't possible on the console version, which will be more actiony and geared towards lower difficulty settings.

I shall be playing on PS3, simply for 2 reasons.

1. My computer couldn't even run DAO if it tried.

2. I hate PC gaming with a passion. I am a PS3 gamer period.

I will be playing on 360 because I played Origins on it and I want to keep my saves. I also prefer consoles, love to feel the control in my hands :D

I'll play it on PC here, as I did Origin. Personally, I prefer games like this on PC, a mouse and keyboard is hard to beat in some games (personal opinion though).

I will. Not only can my computer not run the latest games anyway, I just flat out suck using a mouse and keyboard. My hands just keep fumbling around the keys pressing all the wrong buttons, lol!

I'll more than likely get the 360 version over the PS3 version (I generally buy all multiplatform games on 360 and leave PS3 for its own exclusives). But that decision is yet to be set in stone.

Because if they include an executable, and are not a utility of some sort, it's fairly obvious something is not right - as basically everything else is either a game resource (which would tend to be given with instructions on how to put it in your override folder) or is included a dazip file (specific type of file containing resources made via the toolkit, that can be easilly installed).

I know that personally, I've never gotten any virus from mods I've downloaded for games.

No reason to play RPGs or FPS/TPS type games on the console over PC until maybe the next generation of consoles arrive.  I would rather play on my 42 inch plasma, but many of the games simply do not compete graphically at all, and TPS/FPS are just awful using a control pad compared to mouse/keyboard.  Pretty much nothing is better on a console unless you have a low end PC other than fighting games or the obvious console specific titles.

The PC version of DA looked way better than the console version (even though it was "meh" in it's own right), but completely blew it away with texture packs that modders added.

I would love to play on PC, but mine can just about run KOTOR2 so not a chance it'll run DAO never mind DA2 (plus I have to kick it to get the gamma right - not healthy ^^).

It'll be 360 for me :)

I played DA on both and I actually preferred playing on the X-Box (and I've never been a console 1st kind of player.) I have found that I enjoy playing games in front of the bis screen tv in my easy chair more.

I will be playing DA2 on both Xbox360 and PC.

Why? Because I enjoy gaming on both. To me, neither platform is universally superior. I spend all day working at my pc, and PC gaming in general feels like data-entry. I have been gaming for over a decade with mouse+keyboard and it is not a visceral sensation for me. KB+Mouse gaming really takes me out of the game. I prefer playing single player games on my console because I find it more immersive to play on a big screen TV, and I find the control over camera angles is much smoother and immersive with joysticks.

I will be playing DA2 on PC too though in hopes of both creating my own mods and using other mods. I try to keep my PC gaming limited to multiplayer gaming. As I said earlier, I don't enjoy single player games on a keyboard+mouse, but I do prefer multiplayer games on PC. Only multiplayer combat requires that I use the cutting edge advantages of PC hardware against my human opponents.

I'll be playing on both the Xbox and PC. If we got a copy for only one platform, my husband and I would have to resort to using a timer for equal playing time. It works, but makes us feel like seven-year-olds.

RPGs are not meant to be played in one-hour chunks with the other person repeatedly wandering by to check if the player's done yet.

I will play it my xbox because too much PC playing hurts my wrists and shoulders. I sit better infront of my TV.

1. That I want access to modifications (and to build them) if BioWare allows us to.
2. PC version is likely to have better graphics (and even if not, can be made to look prettier with AA etc.).
3. PC version is cheaper (at least in the UK).
4. I generally prefer PC gaming to console gaming.

This.
The only reason console gets an edge would be playing in a big LCD screen but I'd rather get AA and the supposedly DX11 features in PC.

Ahh this is such a good point. I love to powergame. When DA2 launches I will no doubt play from midnight-launch till I collapse from exhaustion 20-30 hours later. I simply cannot use a keyboard+mouse for so many hours straight without cramping and soreness in my wrists and fingers. I find that game pads however are painfree and comfortable to use indefinitely.

Well, this proplem shouldn't appear of u would stand up and rest a bit in every hour.
I don't understand why is it necessary to play 20-30 hour without stopping. The game can wait, I think your health is way more important.

I played DAO on the console so I simply have to play DA2 on the console, the default savegames are a step up from ME2 but still lack in the choice department. That and my PC can't even handle the Character Creator without dying a few times.

Both 360 & PC. 360 first and foremost though, I quite liked what DA:O did on the console and as long, long time fan of Baldurs Gate, I liked being able to play something close to that on the console (and the PC version was perfect in replicating that old experience) and cus I run both of them through my 42 inch LCD, graphics wont (and never really are) a big sticking point for me.
