Well, this proplem shouldn't appear of u would stand up and rest a bit in every hour.
I don't understand why is it necessary to play 20-30 hour without stopping. The game can wait, I think your health is way more important.

This is a very reasonable suggestion. However, your suggestion implies that I DELAY my immediate gratification. DOES NOT COMPUTE.

I'll probably power game on DA-II from midnight launch on too. But I have no idea how long I'll play really. It depends entirely on how long my fiancee' LETS me play.....she worries too much. Even insists that a friend must accompany me to the midnight launch.

To be honest I'd probably be the same way if it were reversed lol.

<snip> To me, neither platform is universally superior. I spend all day working at my pc, and PC gaming in general feels like data-entry. I have been gaming for over a decade with mouse+keyboard and it is not a visceral sensation for me. KB+Mouse gaming really takes me out of the game. I prefer playing single player games on my console because I find it more immersive to play on a big screen TV, and I find the control over camera angles is much smoother and immersive with joysticks,<snip>

This.  I am on the computer all day.  Trying to keep track of controls and clicking things with the mouse distract me from the story.  Relaxing in my recliner with a big screen and a controller lets me get into the story.  I did play DAO on the PC and adored the look of the game (and the white teeth mod) but I couldn't get into it.  Then again, the last game I played on the PC was Arcanum so I'm out of practice.  It wasn't until I got the computer I have now that I could even consider gamaing on one.

I plan to Dragon Age 2 only on both of the PS3 and the Xbox 360 this is the first time that I can recall of playing the same game on two different consoles at the same time, which something new for me and I'm excited to try it, and I'm NOT planning on playing Dragon Age 2 on the PC anytime in the near future.

As too why I'm playing Dragon Age 2 on the consoles and not the PC: I've played PC games in the past and I can't play with a keyboard and a mouse I just don't have the dexterity and multi-tasking skills to do it.  To me playing PC game with a keyboard and mouse is like typing with boxing gloves on.

Now for the record I can play PC games that only use the mouse (aka point-and-click games) like The X-Files and the Baulder's Gate games and RTS games. Also with my limited budget keeping my PC upgraded to play new games is a luxury that I can't afford. Also my PC won't even play Baulder's Gate 1 because it's more advanced than the game is and it just barely plays Baulder's Gate II and Age of Empires 1 and 2 . I never have liked installing video games on my PC it's always a major pain in the ass.

I played my first console game when I was 8 and my first PC game when I was about 17, simply put a well designed controller in my hand and I can figure almost any game in a few minutes without any tutorials but give me a keyboard and mouse and I'll be lucky if I can move the character forward in a week even with tutorials!

I'm not trying to offend any PC gamers if you play these games great more power to you, have fun. I can't play PC games with a keyboard and a mouse.

I'm honestly unsure of if I want the console or PC version. I just got a new computer for Christmas, and it should be able to run DA2. I've always thought it would be nice to play PC versions of games, just because of all the mods that come out. But I've always been a console gamer. I'm pretty horrible at playing games on PCs, from what I've done.

So I probably will be getting DA2 for the 360 and hope I don't get RRoD again. I had Origins on the PS3, but the PS3 is my brother's and the 360 is mine (I didn't have a working 360 when Origins originally came out), so I have more access to the 360 than the PS3.

But who knows. I might still decide to give the PC version a shot... I don't have a good TV to actually play games on, unless I played in the den and I hate people watching me play games (and again, because I don't have much access to that TV since my dad is always watching it).

I'll be playing on console since I highly doubt that my laptop is able to run the DA2.

Besides, I got a big hdtv and well, I'm more of console gamer.

PC.... it's better

Bias aside, I've received a new desktop for my b-day and it will arrive sometime in the beginning of January. I've played both console and PC and I've always loved PC gaming and always will (playing intense RTS game [StarCraft 2] in comparison to power gaming in Halo 3 or Call of Duty makes console gaming look like a sluggish old man).

So yeah PC for me, my brother can play with the 360 now with his new Kinect.

I will play it my xbox because too much PC playing hurts my wrists and shoulders. I sit better infront of my TV.

Ahh this is such a good point. I love to powergame. When DA2 launches I will no doubt play from midnight-launch till I collapse from exhaustion 20-30 hours later. I simply cannot use a keyboard+mouse for so many hours straight without cramping and soreness in my wrists and fingers. I find that game pads however are painfree and comfortable to use indefinitely.

It should work, but I have learned from earlier mistakes how time flies away and it easy to forget.

My computer isn't really up to date so I'll be playing on the 360.

I'm playing on the 360 for the sole reason that I can't afford to be upgrading my PC every 6 months to something that will run the most current games available. I realize I'm not getting the 'optimal' gaming experience, but then again, I tend to play Bioware games for their story and not their gameplay.

Me because I can't afford a decent PC. This computer can't even run oblivion and Starcraft (II) without lagging, no way in hell DA2 won't run (plus the Hard Drive is full to the brim.)

PC for me. Most "office" PCs can now run games fine, why buy am extra console? Also, mods add content, keyboard/mouse controls are more accurate, and you can alt-tab for browsing, emails etc..

Console, PS3 to be specific, I haven't played too many PC games since I was a kid so I'm okay with sticking to what I know.

I'm going to get it for PC and ps3. I'm trying to build a computer that can handle it better, but my laptop could run Origins on medium, but I'd like a better rig. My ps3 version is basically an insurance policy in case I can't run it on the same laptop (and depending on how well it's optimized, it might be tough. I'm heartened by the fact that the requirements are similar, but I'm building a computer anyway).

I played origins originally on the PS3, god knows why. I really regretted the framerate problems that popped up whenever more than 5 enemies showed up. I then played origins at a friend's place on the 360 and did not care for the texture details (or lack there of). I THEN played around with origins at a friend's place on the pc and marveled at the difference in quality.

And over the span of these several months, mooching off of friends and whatnot, I've resolved to get DA2 for the 360. I'm gonna trust BW on their promise of how it looks better. I'd jump for pc if I thought my laptop could even handle the lowest settings, haha.

I'll be playing on my PS3 console. While my laptop is probably capable of running the game, I am just not very used to or adequate with PC gaming. Haven't played a PC game since the days of Doom or Quake, and I pretty much just slogged my way through those.

I am faaaaaar more used to and comfortable with a controller in my hand. Have been since my Super Nintendo days. So, DAO was on my PS3. DA2 is already pre-ordered for me for the PS3, simply for comfort and because that's where the saves I would be importing are stored.

It would be interesting to get it for PC and try mods, but I really do just enjoy the games vanilla the way they are. Personal preference, not a knock at all against those who like to play on PC and/or with mods. Image IPB

PS3. It's my favorite console. I also play Dragon Age on the PS3 because I have ME on the 360. I'd play it on the PC, but I can't afford to upgrade my PC enough to play games to the extent I'd like to.

Why not hook those X-fired 5870's up to your big screen tv?  Don't they have HDMI outputs?

Oh yeah, there's 4 of them - 2 on each card.  But at my age, I'd rip something trying to haul my rig around the house.  Hernia repair surgery = bad.  The thought's crossed my mind a few times, though.

Truthfully, it's not really the big screen itself I'm missing...it's the comfort factor of lying on the couch (or lounging in some other lazy position) with controller in hand.  A keyboard and mouse make that impossible, and I don't think DApc has controller support.  <-- (Or am I wrong about that?)

Playing on Xbox 360. Since there isn't a Mac version for DA2 no point in getting the computer version.

I'm another one of those people who works on a PC and plays on a console. If I'm on the PC, I get distracted and want to do other things. When I'm playing on the Xbox, it takes more to distract me from the screen. Mind you, this hasn't stopped me from getting games on the PC thanks to Steam sales. But my 'canon' playthroughs are always the Xbox games.
