i love consoles because there cheap and there is no hardware/compatibily stress and it still looks pretty damn good!. However after seeing how horrible origins was on PS3 (specially the top-down view not including) its not an option, ill get it for pc.

Mass effect was very very good on the xbox360 if DA2 is really more optimized it might play a lot better but i felt like i was missing a complete game playing DAO on the ps3.

I'll be playing it on my xbox 360 because I don't have a PC with high enough specs and I prefer console gaming anyway.

I only recommend buying the console version if you don´t have a gaming PC, otherwise if you have already invested your money on the PC it would be silly to buy it for the console, even more as it is not a multiplayer game.

Both PC and Xbox 360 for me
firstly if my laptop cant run DA2 then i'll just simply wait till i get it upgraded to a better one and all my saves ready for import are on PC anyways
i've actaully never played DA:O on a console before but DA2 looks like it might be fun to play on consoles so its a win-win for me anyways :wizard:

actually a console is  better besides the graphics are the same  and there are some  things about a pc that i love it  but i will never play dragon age 2/or masseffect2/3  on a pc anything that  states in the manual you can use a  usb  gamepad.. that  just screams why pay for pc game when they  just plug in a  game pad?

and another thing might be downing the  pc games{ i have alot them} but  some things are not able to get improved unless you go out an buy a whole new pc i.e some  pc have pci express cards {x15} ports but you cant buy a pcie2.0{x15} card and use in the  pci:express1 slot.

this is the new thing that was just introduced to the gaming world and i rather not throw out a computer that can play abunch of  games that can  run this computer because tech says i need this card to play this game when i just played it on my xbox360

and i  preordered da2 i am really hoping they dont go half ass in this  new game  please  dont dissapoint us..

Okay what is this bull**** false information? Consoles have some nice perks no doubt about it (price duh) but PC will always be better.

1) You say graphics are better on consoles... so when did 360 and PS3 get DirectX 11?

2) Gamepad verses keyboard + mosue is y'know your opinion man. Don't shove your bias down other people's throats and expect them to like it 100% like an idiot. And besides there's a reason why RTS dont' work on consoles (*cough* Halo Wars).

3) So upgrading a PC = buying a completely new one huh? Sure if your PC is like stone age crap. This is just a bunch of bull**** false information bred into you console-gamers.

4) Oh boohoo you have to spend money on upgrading graphics cards. You must be a person who whines everytime Nintendo releases a new handheld console update and how you can't play the lates Pokemon game because the cartridge is tiny.

i'm getting it for both because i got origins for both.

Really, it is because I got the 360 version first and actually have a play through that is completely done with all the other DLC available for it. I recently got a PC that can play games on it so that's when I also picked up Origins, though I have yet to complete a playthrough for it. I like playing it on PC, which is also why I'm getting it for both. One for a playthrough I've already completed, and one because I enjoy the platform a bit more.

Not agreeing with the guy you quoted but...

Halo Wars worked absolutely fine without the keyboard and mouse, it impressed a lot of reviewers and players how well they handled it.

My DS from 2004 still works wonders and plays all the DS games perfectly fine, I can't say the same about my 2004 video card.

I will be getting DA2 on PS3. My current PC is hardly capable of playing Dragon Age Origins as is. I highly doubt it will handle DA2.

Okay but my comment was to downgrade Halo Wars on consoles, how did that work out?

Video cards usually last up to 2-4ish years, handheld consoles form Nintendo last well.. 'till the next one comes out. No one can play original Red, Blue, Green, Silver, Gold, Crystal versions anymore on the DS. Whereas the newest video cards can still run the old games like Diablo I + II, KotOR, etc.

I'll get the 360 version because I spend most of my life behind a computer screen, so the couch and TV is a welcomed change... :D

Seriously, I prefer playing with a controller.

I will get DA2 for the 360. There's no real reason for me other than that I am and always have been a console gamer. I can't explain it but I prefer just about anything other than strategy games/MMOs on consoles. People will tell me to "just hook up a controller to the PC", but that isn't even the issue, I just prefer the feeling I get when gaming on a console.

I don't have a "gaming" PC. So it'll be 360 for me.

I personally prefer consoles for gaming. The only game I play on my PC is WoW. If I could play that on a console, like the MMO FFXI, I would. I don't like sitting at a computer with a keyboard and mouse.

Hook your PC up to the tv. Plug in a controller. Problem solved.

Because a controller is great alternative to managing different abilities/spells required on WoW to a keyboard.

PC for me. I really dislike console gaming, even if I started gaming on both PC and console at the same time at the dawn of the gaming age...and my first gaming 'addictions' were on ancient consoles, but they were games like Super Breakout and Tetris, puzzle style games. A console controller just feels way too awkward for anything besides stuff like the above two and Pacman and all the others of those types over the years. I hate radial menus and such, that take me through multiple menus to make a single choice, a choice that I can make far more quickly on the PC. I just feel so restricted on the console, I guess.

The controller would be used for other games. The keyboard for WoW. Best of both worlds.

Ahhh but Felfenix stated he wished to paly MMO's like WoW and FFXI on console if he could. Which he can't so other games 'IE best of both worlds' doesn't really apply here.

Fortunately, by the time this game is released. I should have a gaming capable PC finally. Therefore, my 360 will be all but abandoned for anything not FPS. Now if only I would have the free time I do presently, when I purchase said PC...

As much as I would love them mods. I'm not very tech savy, so I feel more comfortable playing the game on my console.
