Well...

1) Because I played origins on the 360

2) the 360 is the only console I have (and want)

3) and my PC sucks, big time

Thus I will be playing DA2 on console :)

I'm playing DA2 on my PS3. Because it runs faster than my xbox, and my laptop would die if I put a game on it. Plus, it belongs to my school, I have to give it back in May. So only two months of DA2 would suck.

PS3, because I'm tired of my PC not being up to snuff for these games. As an aside, due to a sticky financial situation, I cannot use my credit card to buy dlc on the PC, though I have the cash to buy point cards and the like for console.

PC. I prefer mouse and keyboard, I enjoy mods, and my rig's hardware is superior to the 360's.

I'll be playing it on 360 simply because I bought the first game for 360 and want to import my 'default' warden, but I'll be getting it for PC too

I got DA:O for both the pc and xbox360. I like mods for this kind of game and that's the only reason I got it for the PC. I enjoyed playing it on both pc and xbox 360. DA2 I'm just getting for the 360.

I like the controller and the way it plays on the 360, and the only thing I liked on the pc was hitting the space bar to pause it, and the mods. Lots of hair and some other stuff.

Please don't.  I have both and prefer the 360.  Also, not a kid.  :)

what was your learning curve for the controls on the pc? i went from being a beast in the 360 version to feeling like a complete n00b trying to relearn all the controls.

The proper term is Sexbox.

Have you seen the new one? all I have to do to turn that bad boy on is touch it... no pressure required.

But if it becomes a niche market, the title selection will become more limited and PC gamers will lose consumer power as publishers evaluate the cost-benefit of releasing a PC port.   The thing is, it's already started.  (Microsoft and Alan Wake...PC version axed.  *sniffles sadly*)  I see that as a pretty good indication that the market is in the midst of a big shift.

Just thought I would clear this up, Alan Wake was not cancelled because PC's are becoming a niche market..  Alan Wake was cancelled on the PC because Microsoft did not relish the chance of seeing everyone buying Alan Wake on the PC and neglecting the Xbox version.  If you don't believe me then here it is from Microsofts own mouth :-

Peter Zetterberg MGS wrote .........

"The PC has a much wider use, it's so established, it's so dominating already so in some territories we
need to make the games for the 360 to increase the sales there. If we launch a game that is on 360 and PC
simultaneously, we basically shoot ourselves in the foot by allowing the German market to choose to play the PC version -- because they are more likely to buy that than spend their money on the Xbox 360."

That is why MS canned Alan Wake on the PC, it had nothing to do with the PC "declining" and everything to do with the fact Microsoft are doing everything they can to make people buy the xbox version.

As for me, I just bought Dragons Age Ultimate and it is alright, if I do buy Dragon Age 2 (not really sold on it myself) it will be the PC version.  But I doubt I will buy it on release and will wait till the "Ultimate" edition comes out and gets discounted on steam.

DA2 is probably going to be more console friendly since DA2 is going the way of mass effect, which is basically no mods or customization. and overpriced DLC and armor mods

I will be playing Dragon Age 2 on both the PC and the Xbox360. I will be getting a digital copy of the PC version via steam because my PC can run the game better than a console but I will also have the Xbox360 version since I like having a tangible copy of the game that doesn't require installation.

Really? The only real difference is ugly ass radial menu vs clicking on an ability. Character movement is basically the same with a better camera. Can someone explain to me how they could not instantly find the pc controls easier to use.?

Um.... You do realize Console players can puchase DLC? And if you think $5.00 for a DLC is overpriced...thats your business.

They are also making a seperate version for PC users as well.

I suggest you get your information correct before making baseless statements.

$5 for a stupid DLC like Warden's Keep or Return to Ostagar... yeah...

$40 for a stupid DLC of Awakening... yeah...

Awakening was an overpriced Expansion, not a DLC.  To me DLC's are small.

Awakening was an overpriced DLC, not an expansion. To me expansions are large and have good/new content.

See what I did there?

I tend to think of DLC as content one downloads.

360. I have one, am proud to have one (hey, few people have even a PC where I live!), I played the first on it, and I like radial menus (sorry, my first real RPG was Neverwinter, so the radial menu thing kinda stuck into my mind. Oh, and besides, DA2 seems more console-friendly and I have two complete saves on my 360 (going for my third run, actually).

I will not be playing on the console for the reasons:

1. That I want access to modifications (and to build them) if BioWare allows us to.
I say if they allow us to, as there is not guarantee that they are definitely updating the toolset for comparability with DA2 (though I really, really hope they do).
2. PC version is likely to have better graphics (and even if not, can be made to look prettier with AA etc.).
3. PC version is cheaper (at least in the UK).
4. I generally prefer PC gaming to console gaming.
