All I meant was that after everyone pretty much agrees that Shep saves the galaxy at the end of ME1 he doesn't even get a promotion?

He wasn't promoted because saving the Citadel happened too far away from his annual performance review.  Admiral Hackett is like every other boss who only takes the immediately prior three months into account during review time.

You can't really get any higher rank than Spectre, other then becoming the Human representative in the Council.

Replace all stairs and lift´s with giant blue circle portals and give him a alien companion wih strange voice that wonts his PPL free.Giant god like alien enemy's that try to "enslave" "erase" humanity.



Mybe because we hade nearly all high rank roles for "safe the galaxy" through its time for PFC Shepard?Farmer Shepard?Plumber Shepard?

Yeah, Cerberus operative, that means really a lot for me.



And what about Shepards who refused to have their Spectre status reinstalled? So they are now nothing, well except for being best human in galaxy. Alliance turned your back at you, Council did, you became part of terrorist organization (who wiped your entire squad on Akuze) and even your former subordinate Kaidan Alenko is now higher rank.

Galaxy is just bad to Shepard. No one, except your gamer fans can appreciate what are you doing. Ok and few loyal squadmated - but you have to buy their loyalty.



And Captain Shepard sounds good to me.

well, sounds good. but normally, when you promote to admiral, you don't go to real combat instead of mastering in the ship. even captain doesn't go to real fight. he just point them out, what's really up to mission like that. commander does real job. go to real combat, kill basters. that's why Captain anderson  doesn't go for real warfare. he just figure what's really behind in the ship. that's why I like the title of commander.

PS) Shepard is not spectre anymore. he failed to promote after all. plus, he is not belong to Alliance, neither. he just made his own destiny.

I wonder if he was made a Commander because that was Luke's rank in the (Rebel) Alliance military. I suppose Colonel might have made the Stargate:Atlantis name connection too obvious. He should be Spectre Shepard, or Agent Shepard though since that's his rank in ME2 if you rejoin the spectres, or the man formerly known as Spectre Shepard. On the Normandy he should be Captain Shepard though, he is the skipper of the ship.

you know what? in ME 2, Shepard doesn't seem to care about spectre anymore. he seems to seek more vauable thing. hoenstly, spectre is only dealt with citiadel. no other places. when you go to other places, they don't care whether you are spectre or not. they want to kill you. so forget about damn title. it is not really matter anymore. reapers come, all die anyway. you think spectres will save the world? fcuk no.

None of that's got much to do with Shep still being a Spectre, which in many people's games, is the case.  And I still have no idea what "failed to promote" is all about either.
