Also, can't wait. It's been awhile since LotSB, so they probably want to final DLC to be as good as it can be.

Sound like an expansion pack to bridge the games and explain what happens to most of our Mass Effect 2 squad. My bet is that Garrus, Tali, Miranda/Jacob(gender dependent) stays with you, because they have the best chances of surviving the suicide mission. Mordin will probably be too old to fight when ME3 comes around.
Wonder is we import our character into this DLC...

If thats true then all over the ME2 forum people will be saying "called it" and then pointing to the 2 years of DAO DLC promise <_<TelexFerra wrote...
We already knew there was another one coming but only one?
Oh well, it'll just get me more excited for ME3.
Especially how I think they had worded it that a number of bridging DLC that would follow the LoTSB style

Scandal!
I really enjoy CDN. I'm sad to see it go, but know that it's being pulled so that more DLC/ME3 work will be done is fine by me. I hope we get a similar system in ME3.

"We have a bunch of packs that are in the works right now," Hudson said to Videogamer
in an interview. "So, for the time being there's going to be a
continued stream of DLC for people. We'll start to have packs that'll
tell the story between Mass Effect 2 and 3. But beyond that we kind of
have to see how people are responding to what we have and go from
there."

I'm all for being wrong and hopefully there will be a continued stream of story driven DLC after the PS3 release, but it's kind of hard not to be skeptical after the DA:O debacle.

This.
I was really looking forward to at least two more bridging DLCs too(I was hoping for three).

I enjoyed CDN, it brought something to the game you wouldn't expect from a publisher/dev team.
As for the DLC: I'm calling Shepard and the VS bring down TIM and Cerberus meaning Shepard loses all weps, armour and the Normandy, and so starts ME3 with a clean slate. A cliffhanger would be nice too.

I seriously hope, that there will be more DLCs like LotSB, but most likely it will come after the PS3 version was released.
From what I heard, LotSB was a test for ME3 - the dialogs will be similar in the upcoming sequel.
I hope you're joking, or misinformed. The dialogue in LoTSB was mostly automatic. I wouldn't want that in ME3.

Not so sure it wll be bringing Cerberus down...if you keep the base then you are still in Cerberus good graces...
Also i dont think could lose the Normandy again lol

It's only a popular rumor, but even so I think the simularities will be in the tone of the dialogue, more humor, more interupts, action choices in the dialogue wheel (hug Liara) and stuff like that. I have my doubts that ME3 will be as scripted as LotSB.

In that case it's fine. But that auto dialogue needs to be nonexistent in ME3. It is the last game and they don't need to screw it up with that.

@ Joseph - If Shep takes down Cerberus why would he lose his weapons and armour? And why would he lose the Normandy?
I'm thinking along the lines of how is Shepard going to start ME3 with a clean slate. Maybe TIM has a kill switch on the Normandy. I just can't see Shepard going into the final battle working for Cerberus, s/he'll be back with the Alliance, so there has to be a way out.
Plus EA will want to sell us a weapon pack or two, so we might be starting 3 underpowered

Screens of the aforementioned news?
Maybe the week leading up to the DLC will be for a larger DLC and more will be produced but in reference to previous posts.(think about the spctre mentions prior to LotSB) Either that or 7 DLCs, with one update in reference to each. It may even end up being an expansion size DLC, that would allow them to tie together several loose ends and set up the story at the end of the DLC to be a more manageable set of variables so far as who you start with.
Wishful thinking there. For what it's worth, I share in it.

Keep in mind, they said that before Overlord's release. Since then, we got an armor pack, a gun pack, and Liar of the Shadow Broker, which weren't announced at the time.
