It would be interesting to see how the stories of Kaiden and Ashley unfold, though truth be told I was never a big fan of either (I kind of wanted to leave both of them on Virmire...). Some kind of follow up to Bring Down the Sky from ME1 would be really cool. I loved that story and there's still some unfinished business with the Batarians to be taken care of. Another original storyline in the vein of Overlord would be great too.
To be honest I don't even care, I trust this franchise so much I would download new DLC without even knowing what it was.

Seems like they *have* to throw the VS a bone after you were able to rekindle things with Liara in LotSB.

And I'm sad to see them stop with it, but at the same time excited for this new DLC. Considering the quality of Overlord and LotSB I'm looking forward to it.
VS DLC would be nice. Maybe then people can stop screaming VS DLC all the time (joking).
But yes, something in regards to the Alliance/VS and Shepard and Cerberus.

The Mass Effect wiki has an archive of all the news on there, probably best to look there.
Edit: Ninja'd!

Zaeed and Firewalker? Ugh. Kasumi and Overlord? Good stuff. But LotSB was stellar.
I liked Zaeed's mission.
It remains one of my favorites in the game. Good lord do you feel like a douchebag if you let the captives burn to get Vido. And Zaeed is everyone's favorite geriatric psycopathic badass.
Agree with your post generally though. Kasumi > Zaeed, Overlord was goot, LotSB was awesome. I hated all paid DLC prior to Mass Effect.

He makes an okay choice for squadmate. Not arguing that. But his mission felt slapped together. Even the dialogue felt generic. But, this is my opinion. It's a part of my game now and I definitely do it just to get his loyalty. I just wish it had been fleshed out better. Loved the reference to Firefly though. Always nice to see stuff like that.

the weeklong buildup has me thinking that this might be a sizeable dlc like maybe something approaching dragon age awakening.
My theory is that we have a whole VS reunion story, which would be big in itself as there is a friend/lover version for both Kaiden/Ashley---i.e. 4 possible reunions. But we also are getting some sort of mission/mission pack that represents the bridge DLC mentioned before.
It would be pretty sick if that were true.

What I would like is a DLC involving shepards reinstatement in the alliance.

... Which could easily involve a VS side plot. Bada-bing-bada-boom.

I am 100% sure that Bioware won't deal with ME 1 story anymore for new DLC. it's continued to make a bridge to ME 3. that Virmir stuff is nothing to do with it. so just don't hold breath. I don't get it why people try to bring in ME 1 for new DLC.
I completely agree. The bridging content between the two games should have to do with two things only:
1. ME2
2. Potentialities for ME3 (LotSB did a great job in this area)
Besides, I was pissed off at A/K for the way they greeted me at the colony. So honestly I don't want anything else to do with them, and the feeling is probably mutual.

Errmmm....what? We're not talking about the planet Virmire, we're talking about the Virmire survivor, i.e Ashley and Kaidan. We had Lair of the Shadow Broker, with Liara in the spotlight in that one that also progressed the story towards ME3.
We also want something that progresses the story towards ME3 even more, than includes Ashley/Kaidan in it. This has nothing to do with ME1........
