 I've always wondered exactly where on the ME1 Citadel you are when you are at the wards, specifically the upper market with the amazing view through the big windows. Judging by the view I always figured the building you are in is one of the highrises close to the presidium but since you take an elevator straight down there from the very presidium ring I think we might be in one of the arms connecting the Presidium to the ward.

I think given the layout of the Citadel and from the view of the Wards you're on the far end of the ward arms near the Presidium and possibly the Ward arm is in parallel to the Citadel Tower due to the close proximity of the Ward and the Presidium are next to each other.

In ME1, by being in "The Wards" I think we are in the connecting link that connects the ward arms to the Presidium.
