Just wondering. Did they announce all the romance options before DA:O was released? Also nothing against Isabela, just wondered if will get info on other options prior to launch.

Not sure. Personally I'm hoping they'll do just that before the release of DA2. Also praying that there's more than one F/F LI other than Isabela.

Yes, a dev said that all party members and love interests will be announced before release. I forget which one, though.

There might be more this time. I think ME2 had 3 LIs for both genders and the game was shorter then the first.

That's a good point, I hope there's more four options for each gender would be awesome but three sounds more likely. Any idea how many companions we can expect?

I remember them saying at least two of each class.  I also think I remember them saying that not all LI will necessarily be companions.

At least six. But knowing Bioware we'll probably have from eight to ten permanent companions.

Some are estimating somewhere from 7 to 12 companions, but it's just estimations.

Similar to Fable III? I think I'd still prefer to romance a companion but having the option is great, particuarly for those who don't like the companion LI.

Maybe certain non-companions who play an important role could be LIs, but it's not going to be like fable 3 where you can sleep with anyone

I think all the people standing behind Hawke on the website are the companions. I doubt Avelie will be LI though. What with either you killed her husband or made her kill him thing. Either way, she'll probably hate your guts.

Why would she hate Hawke?
Her husband was infected and was going to die so it is left for the player to decide whether Hawke gives him a mercy killing or Aveline does.

Maybe who you choose to do the mercy killing will have a different effect on how she'll view Hawke.

Regardless of what the PC chooses it would be completely irrational for her to "hate the PC's guts".

I can personally see her getting a little pissed off at Hawke if he's the one who ends her husband's life simply because she'd rather be the one to do it, but I doubt she'd be so pissed off that she actually hates the PC's guts, she is a companion after all.

Hopefully they do the charecter videos like they did in origins, those were fun & the Leliana one was the first video i ever saw for DA:O and started me down this zanny dragon age enjoyment (though technicly it was more alistair's "more crazy? i thought we were full up" comment)

I'm very surprised to hear that David promised that. We did not reveal all the romances before DA:O shipped and I was not aware of a plan to do so this time.

Can someone quote me where he promised this? (Not that I doubt you, except you are all a pack of filthy liars).

I expect if it was "promised" it was something like:

"All love interests are companions, and all companions will be revealed prior to launch."
and not:
"All love interests will be revealed as such prior to launch."

But I'm just guessing - I don't have a link.
