Since I like custom party (and I'm a powergamer), BG(1,2, ToB) being easy games by themselves offer me no challenge at all (except maybe Durlag's Tower which I consider one of the best cRPG locations ever made)

Can someone point me to a solid mod that increases difficulty? I really want it to be BGT-orientated, since I play BGT only. If not, at least BGT-compatibile mods for BG2 and ToB?

Bring the hardest ones, I want challenge, lots of it! :))

I think improved anvil is the hardest but others worth checking out are tactics and sword coast strategems i belive. I can not atest to the goodness of them as I have not played them however.

Improved Anvil is only viable for the BG2 part of the game. It is considered to be the most challenging difficulty increasing mod, but it really changes the game drastically (adding countless items, spells, changing others, thus completely changing the balance of the game and making it very different) and is generally not that popular for several reasons.
Tactics is somewhat old, with some very challenging battles, also for BG2. However, some of the enemies are allowed to cheat if you use tactics.

What I would recommend and what is the most popular difficulty increasing mod is the very versatile SCS (Sword Coast Stratagems). There is SCSI for BG1 and SCSII for BG2, and the mod is BGT compatible. It mostly adresses AI improvements and is highly costumizable.

SCS is easily the most popular difficulty increasing mod (and the best, imo). You can add some Tactics components, if you like. Most Tactics components are cheesy as hell, but some are good fun none the less. Improved Anvil is far, far more difficult than anything either SCS or Tactics has to offer. If you really want to try your hand at IA, i recommend one of the older versions, certainly not the latest version.

Seconded on SCS(II). Very coherent, versatile, comprehensive, challenging, and fun.

Another vote for SCS here.

You mentioned you wanted a hard challnege.

Well in that case make sure in your SCS install you get mages to use BG2 spells and prebuff. I don't find all of SCS that difficult (except improved Drulag's Tower) without these choices.

In SCSII installation pick the option to raise level dependent monster groupings to the max. Maybe I like punishing myself but SCSII LIches at lvl 8 are fun battles :D
