Wondering if it was possible to change some of the games core mechanics, such as what strength does or conditioning. whether a spell can miss or not etc. Lots of things like this.

This toolset isn't like oblivions where it lets you at the core mechanics of the game unfortunately. It limits you in that respect to some stuff that is available in the core scripts but what you are asking I haven't seen a way to do yet. Now spells and items you can probably mess with but I haven't tried that yet.

I remember hearing a while before release that the toolset allowed people to modify the game rules themselves. This is wrong?

I hope that isn't wrong

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know which 2DA needs to be edited to change the properties of attributes?

Possible? Yes
Easy? No
If you want to change something fundamental (e.g. allowing spells to "miss"), you might have to modify lots of things (e.g. every spellscript) and the AI to use them sensibly. Plus it would be good to make a new tutorial to teach players how things have changed (otherwise it wont be popular).

For my purposes I want to modify the amount of mana/stamina that WIL gives you per point. It's not in ABI_base.
