Ah maybe I should have elaborated a little further.

In itself nothing is wrong with it but I cannot forsee a reason to support something that is going to be absolutely garunteed in the third game assuming a relationship dynamic is still part of the third which is a reasonable assumption. The banner itself doesn't seem to serve any purpose other than to either act as a bit of a joke or more concerningly it insinuates that "hetrosexuality" in the game is "under threat" and maybe in the real world at large. I might be taking it to far but it almost seems like the OP thinks hetrosexuality is something under threat in the game - thats why you get people supporting characters because they are concerned if support is not shown they may not be included again.

Also the whole Rachni Queen romance deal seems slightly like a parody of more conventional threads. Hey if someone wants to romance the insectoid Queen thats all well and good but it's hard to take it seriously from my point of view.

It's like me saying I support political power for white middle aged men. It's completely unecessary - its a given in western society.

Lol.  That group and banner make absolutely no sense.  It's like saying, "I support the dialogue wheel in ME3".  Yeah, it's going to be there, bro.   People just don't like the fact that they have to take a few seconds to turn down a male love interest if they have a MaleShep.  Or it's just flat out homophobic but they hate being called what is true.  lol!

Please explain why a romance with "an inanimate thing with no or unknown sex or gender." is a heterosexual option. Are male!Shepard's partner's automatically female?

It's called a Rachni queen. All Rachni but Brood Warriors are female.

Rachni Queen romance.....it can be both very sick and cool at the same time...i mean, arachnosexuality sounds like something really not nice to even imagine...but  Rachni Queen can use any body she wants so that would be really super awesome, like a random lover generator haha :P

Proclaiming one is proud of ones ethnicity implies there are less desirable ethnicities around.
Hence, indirectly, racist.
Not saying the statement itself has any racist intent, but semantically, it does.

So if someone's proud to be American, that implies there are less desirable countries around. Yep. Some people need to think before some people post. Back on topic...

Of course you are entitled to your opinion BUT why do you feel the need to make a banner supporting something that is garunteed to be in game? There is no risk that Mass Effect has a "gay agenda" and is going to infringe on your rights to not have a gay relationship. But there would be nothing wrong with the option for a gay relationship in ME3 so long as it actually had some depth and adds to the character experience.

I think if a person can't stand the idea of game offering homosexual options it indicates a level of insecurity on their own part. I'm not gay but I don't mind a gay option in video games - it might even be an interesting experience to participate in for characterisation purposes in the same way as you could experience a lesbian relationship in ME1. If you can have a femshep saviour of the galaxy why not a gay shep  saviour it would simply point again towards the progressiveness of late 22nd century human society.

Sheesh

Fem shep should probably get a combat bonus once a month due to her PMT rage :P.

Eh, shouldn't keep things off-topic. Even if the topic is absurd.

But that's exactly what it implies. Race and nationality aren't aspects of ones self one achieves though personal development, hence something you can logically be proud over, they are genetical and societal constructs.
So yes, pride is a very strange thing indeed to feel over these things.
Now, I can understand the desire to proclaim such things if ones ethnicity or nationality is somehow compromised or facing oppression. But I'd say there is no escaping the absurdity of that sentiment.

I think that what group you're actually in doesn't matter much; the pride is often more in just belonging to any group than of that group's specific qualities.
Or it can be a disguised attack on groups you're not a part of. Unfortunately, most people who think of heterosexuals being a group fall into the latter category.

Anyway looking at things on balance I think to some extent the OP gets jollies from posting controversial material for the purpose of causing controversy and therefore I'd be willing to give favourable odds on the probability of trolling when coupled with his general demeanour and that completely pointless sig.

Just my opinion though :/.

Mostly because some people do recall old topics you've made.

You even tried the first one over on Bethesda's forums. It got shut down even faster than here.

You should make a signature bar for that.  ;)

We should also have the following signature bars:

I support having weapons in Mass Effect 3
I support stuff happening and people talking in Mass Effect 3
I support there being humans in Mass Effect 3

This topic has gone on far too long.

For a male Shep, provided you didn't kill her on Noveria, of course. It is intelligent and psychic, and I suppose romance would be similar to asari with minds? Femsheps can pick a male Brood Warrior maybe.

In before lockdown!

This is one of those blatantly absurd topics meant to illustrate the OP's opinion of the absurdity of same-sex romances. Not the first time he's done this, won't be the last. We've heard all the rhetoric before, there's nothing new here. The basic conversation goes along the lines of "well if you want two dudes to be able to get it on, why can't I get it on with a plant/towel rack/Mako?" Facepalm in unison in 1...2...3...

The OP's "opinion" will always be that male homosexual relationships don't have the same validity of heterosexual relationships, and there's nothing anyone can say that will change his mind. Don't waste your energy, people.
