He has given me the quest, but I see no place on the map, I am in town as well looking around for clues, I see nothing, Dwyden is alive, but tells me to get lost, his chest didn't have it.

Anyone able to assist?

p.s.
Where is Cadash Thaig, I just recently got Shale, but I do not see anyone else to go in the village.

You have to go to kinloch hold first- the area near the docks by circle tower. When you ask Sten where he fought the darkspawn he says it was there. (Nevermind that there are probably a dozen towns between there and Lothering and it makes no damn sense for him to end up in a town on the southern edge of the banneron... but such is video game logic) There you'll meet a scavenger who will send you to find the person who found his sword, and then that man will send you to Dwyn. You need to do all the steps in order or it won't work.



Same with Shayle. Just because you know where to go doesn't mean you can without being given the quest. If you have been given the quest by Shayle it will be in the deep roads with all the other thaigs, you'll have to go to Orzammar and go there, and then you'll get a map marker on the deep roads map.

If you haven't actually been given the quest you need to get her approval up and then Shayle will ask to go to the thaig. The best way is to bring Shayle with you when you do the deep roads part of the Orzammar treaty quest line, but it is possible to trigger it otherwise.

Why are you talking about two different things found the scavenger to get the sword. now must go to ozzamar to get the next person fyran now what. and what the blank does Shayle have to do with finding the sword of stern post it on shayle not on stern.
