Well if your going to reason like that then can you prove Cerberus is going to use its research to help defeat the Reapers? No you cannot but you can reasonably suggest that they do in order to ensure there own survival correct?

No, my reasons for landing in this debate is to state no one can judge cerberus or proove their evils, as both sides lack a way to proove the other wrong.

I am pro cerberus, you are possibly anti cerberus, we both lack crucial evidence or comparibles to show our opinion is correct.

Hopefully one of us will have the ammo provided to shoot the other in ME3.

Untill then,I will continue to view anti-cerbs as short sighted and naive.

Why I don't like Cerberus? They're incompetent, they have unrealistic goals, and I have yet to see a successful project where the majority of the crew didn't die.

Wasn't a supporting arguement that we lack the information in order to judge Cerberus?

The argument is: Cerberus has to commit a lot more atrocities before it can even hope to measure up to the Council in its evilness.

How is this relevant?

Well they did stop the Rachni from killing everything in galaxy... Did stop the Krogan from enslaving everyone in the galaxy... What has Cerberus done for us again?

Remember that A: none of the Council members who did that exist anymore and B: it was a successful and necessary attempt to stop a worse war. None of Cerberus' darker activities, as I've said, have born fruit that was vital to anything.

Dr. Genophage v2.0 travels on your own ship! Never mind, Mordin was just working there.

But the Council clearly is an evil atrocious organization that represses the weak and denies them their basic rights. It is a source of much misery nd suffering in the Galaxy. It must be destroyed and replaced, or in the very least reformed, to insure that from now on the Galactic government will become just, moral, and accountable before all members of the Galactic community!

incompetent in comparison to whom?

unrealistic goals when compared too??

in my game, a small frigate single handedly captured a collector base, with 99% of the crew surviving and gaining technology for the upcoming war with sentiant machines. While pursuing that mission, my cerberus paid for team, also promoted peace between two warring races, prevented a cure to the genophage, regained control of a gone crazy project etc etc, so Cerberus didnt do too bad on that one.

and anyway, why would you see a successful project that your character is not involved with? Do you expect to be taken on tours by TIM to perfectly happy and productive projects?

Cerberus' "atrocities" are small time child's play compared to the Council... And it wants to turn the Galaxy into a better place, while the Coucil wants only to sit tight.

I'll deal with further Council incidents if I have to in the future; now seems to be around the right time I can deal with Cerberus.

Shepard didn't single handedly defeat the Reapers.
If it wasn't for Cerberus your Shepard would've had no idea what to do or how to defeat them.
And that's assuming you found a way to resurrect yourself.

TIM is what every human aspires to be  but are afraid to become! He's charismatic, highly intelligent, willing to push the boundries to get what he wants or needs and has a sh** load of power with all the money and connections that he's acquired through his time starting Cerberus.

The world isn't always black and white. Sometimes a few eggs need to be broken to make an omelet. Or in TIM's case people have to lose they're lives for the ends to justify the means.

Of course the Alliance won't acknowledge the fact that Cerberus is part of them. America doesn't talk about it's Black Ops orginizations. The public at large wouldn't condone the actions taken by them.

Easier for the Alliance to say Cerberus is a rogue human group with radical ideas. That way plausible deniability of they're actions can be taken.

There will always be a need for people like TIM and Cerberus. A true renegade! What Shepard could become if given the opportunity.

Okay I think it is safe to say we are officially arguing in circles without any real forward momentum on either side.

1. Anyone who didn't resort to the desperate "results by any means" tactic immediately.

2. They want to put humanity on top of a galactic community that have been stable for thousands of years for no good reason, while, for example the Alliance wants the humanity to be a strong part of it instead. There's a big difference.

And a faction that tortures children and conducts sadistic experiments (no real reason to pour acid into a soldier's veins) to reach a goal they can easily achieve by trying to get on other's good side, is not a faction I want to have great influencal power.

There. I'm done.

Alright so the Alliance and Council stopped the Reapers from destroying the universe once... Or delayed so... It more then we can still say for Cerberus. Thou to Cerberus credit I guess they could be hailed as heros for helping colonies on the outer rim. Stopped the making of the Terminator baby... >.<

The difference is only in the wording. But in reality, the Alliance and Cerberus want the same thing: to make the Alliance the top part of the Galactic community. But the Alliance has to be careful. That's why Cerberus was created in the first place: to do "bad stuff", and take  theblame for it.

And being stagnant for  thousands of years can't be a good thing.

Honestly we should just let this die.  Despite all the evidence that strongly supports the Cerberus being inept, incompetent, or just plain evil the Pro Cerberus people just keep going bak to the old standbys

-I didn't like that so it didn't happen despite the fact that it did

-well this faction is far worse

-Your facts are different from my opinion so they are obviously wrong.

Okay goodnite everyone thanks for playing be sure to tip your waitress on the way out.

And thats why I said even if you didn't die you still would've had inferior technology and no leads to follow on how to defeat the Collectors.
