When they announce they are shutting it down, with the exception of specifically1 dlc and then ME3, I'd say its quite telling. Why would they run stories on only a single DLC and then nothing until Me3 if they had more DLC in the works?. Makes no sense. Unless the other dlc would be a weapon pack or something useless.
Since they didn't explicitly say there's one story DLC left, I'm keeping hope alive.

Geez, I hope that there's more than just one more DLC release over the next year. When they said that LotSB was the first of several DLCs designed to bridge the gap from ME2 to ME3 I didn't think they meant the bare minimum definition and that there was only one more to come. I was expecting at least three or four.
Honestly, I imagine there will be there. Unfortunately, I believe the third will emulate Morrigan's DLC, which was not well received. There is a lingering doubt clawing upon the back of my mind the aforementioned DLC will end up being the VS and released only due to fan demand. Such was the choice with DAO and Morrigan's.

I'm definitely going to miss CDN, but I'd always take a high-quality DLC over it any day of the week.

DA dlc has nothing on ME's. Lotbs or overlord is better than all the DA dlcs put together.

Why the anxiety over the newly announced dlc? Witch Hunt comparisons?

Since Me3 is a year away and it's been some time since LOTBS, people were expecting a larger number of bridging DLC as LOTBS barely scratched the surface. I'm not worried about the quality of the DLC, if the previous ones are any indication, it'll be solid.
My guess is some people take the news as a final sign that Bioware is shifting all focus to me3 and will deliver a subpar dlc, ala witch hunt just to shut us up about dlc for a while.

The next dlc is most likely Virmire survior. This way they can expand on the Alliances secret operations regarding the reapers and tie up the last loose end before ME3.jamie94 wrote...
how would the dlc tie in with it then dionkey ? the only combination i can see is an alliance one where you either kill a reaper thats scouting ahead of their force or convince the council with the VS'S help cos they went on that secret mission thing

I am taking a shot in the dark here and saying we will get news later this month and it will release in Feburary. That way Bioware can have something to hold people over till GDC (Feb 28-March 4th) when we will finally see more info on ME3.jamie94 wrote...
yeah yeah. have you got any idea when bioware will release it then ?

If true, this points to a real DLC and not a weapons pack.

AFAIK there is zero indication that it has anything to do with VS. Many want it to be about the VS but that doesn't mean it will.

With the dossiers from LOTSB I could see the Alliance taking shepard in for trial before Hackett,Kashley and Anderson intervene.HappyHappyJoyJoy wrote...
