Also, to clarify, it is heavily implied that there will only be 1 more plot DLC, since they will be making more CDN updates just for it. It does not preclude the possibility of more weapons packs, but I highly doubt that. If they are designing cool guns, it will probably go into ME:3.

Well, other than the often rumored Alt. Appearance Pack 3 it probably will be the last from what they're saying.
I hope its not an appearance pack DLC. I wouldn't mind something similar to Overlord or LOTSB.

As for the DLC I hope it's one that involves the VS, but we have no indication whatsoever that it will unfortunately. As for when it will come out, I think it may well come out after DA2 as I imagine they'll be stepping up the advertising push for that very soon.

Well, whatever it is, just keep this in mind, whatever is not in the DLC, we can look forward to in ME 3...
We don't know that. I'm not sure that the "cut" DLC from ME1 was put into ME2.
I'm thinking it may be a "take down Cerberus" mission. Even a Renegade Shepard wasn't terribly happy with TIM - look at the dialogue after the SM. Getting rid of Cerberus would simplify the story structure of ME3 - you wouldn't have "working against Cerberus" and "working with Cerberus" paths.
EDIT: And if you think about this, this would be something the VS would be involved with, considering their hatred of Cerberus.

1. +1 dialogue conversation with each squadmate
2. VS survivor
3. Alliance vs. Cerberus allegiance - could be tied to VS survivor
4. Quarian-Geth Conflict
5. Thane's cure
6. Departure of crew members (ie. who is not on the squad during the beginning of ME3) - Should include another dialogue conversation, would be nice if for once Kasumi and Zaeed had a dialogue wheel
7. Shepard sidequest involving Shepard returning to Akuze or Torfan or Elysium

I don't think the DLC should focus on just one storyline, rather I would like to see several storylines incorporated. In other words, I would want a DLC akin to an expansion pack that is several hours long that takes place post-SM.
Please don't take offense, but I don't see this happening. Multiple storylines for a DLC... I think they'll focus on one. So far, that is all they've done.
Things I would like to see included are:
1. +1 dialogue conversation with each squadmate
Unlikely, they'd need to bring in all the voice actors. Unless they are already recording dialogue for ME3, otherwise you have to bring them into a studio (and pay for any airfare/hotel to get them there), work with scheduling (I can see this being an issue with Strahovski due to her filming a TV show), etc.
2. VS survivor
3. Alliance vs. Cerberus allegiance - could be tied to VS survivor
I think this is possible.
4. Quarian-Geth Conflict
If ME3 goes the DA:O route of "go and recruit other races to come help fight the Reapers", I think this is more likely to be in ME3. You may have to choose whether you want Quarians or Geth on your side, similar to Elves vs. Werewolves in DA:O. IMHO.
5. Thane's cure
I really don't see this. Not everyone recruited Thane, not everybody still has Thane alive, not everyone cares enough about Thane.
6. Departure of crew members (ie. who is not on the squad during the beginning of ME3) - Should include another dialogue conversation, would be nice if for once Kasumi and Zaeed had a dialogue wheel
Again, problem getting the voice actors in... and more likely to be in ME3, if they show up. Otherwise we'll get an email <_<
7. Shepard sidequest involving Shepard returning to Akuze or Torfan or Elysium
I can't see them making three complete, two-hour missions for each of those that meets the quality bar of LotSB.

Much of the whole point of DLC is to do this for it post release, and since LotSB it already feels too long now and that there should be something. If there really is only one more release to come then it just doesn't feel enough, especially given that BioWare seemed to hint at LotSB merely being the first of many bridge-gapping DLC's, and not merely the first of only two of them.
That said, it's hardly surprising given ME1 DLC promises and Pinnacle Station, and the whole promise of DAO having a two-year DLC plan ending up not even coming to half that in the end. The main difference here is that they were at least proving that they could live up to their own hype, LotSB alone doing this and arguably the best ME2 content there is all round. Seems a waste if there truly is going to only be one more, even if it is up to the same standards and possibly even grander in scale.
Pure speculation on my part follows, but it almost suggests to me that BioWare may be worried they won't get ME3 out in time and up to scratch, so they want to have as much of their resources working on the next game rather than content for the last one, and that they may just merely be doing one more to keep Chris Priestly's numerous repeated promises on the forums here. I dunno.

It would be pretty cool for posterity if the cerberus news network entries were all added to the game in some fashion. in some manner that allows you to read all 365 entries easily. Maybe adding a console somewhere where you can scroll and tab through every day's entry? (new dlc?)

Honestly I'm hoping that the last one is some sort of massive expansion seeing as Lair of the Shadow Broker came out back in September and I doubt the dev cycle for it was too long seeing as they were working on the prior DLCs as well.

As of now you can find all Daily Entries on the Mass Effect wikia, just in case you're interested of looking them up there.Doctor_Jackstraw wrote...
i hope this doesn't mean we aren't getting the remaining promo armors and alternate costumes

Still, I´m looking forward to the DLC - being a story DLC, it should probably have something to do with Shepard and the Council/Cerberus.
Because we have him killing a Spectre and if he has told Cerberus to shove it, he has another enemy...so I think these loose threads should be brought together before ME3 (but that would contradict the "Interogation Scenario"
Anyway, I hope it will good =)

Conspiracy Theorists think it will happen soon after the PS3 release, since that release was promised to contain all released DLC, and by postponing the last DLC until after the PS3 release, EA can make some extra cash.
If true, this points to a real DLC and not a weapons pack.
Not just conspiracy theorists, it's a good time to release a new DLC, after you've gotten a bunch of new people in the game. The press the PS3 release is going to get might persuade some PCers and X360ers to finally pick up the game, as well...
