Fereldeans, Orlesians, Antivans and now Dalish Elves all have their own accents, but it seems odd that Tevinter characters in DAO don't have an accent of their own. Since Tevinter is based on the Byzantine empire, shouldn't they be speaking in Greek accents?

Now that we have a Tevinter character (Fenris), maybe there should be an accent for that country.

David Gaider said here that Fenris has an accent. As he is from Tevinter, there is a chance it could be what we'd call a "Tevinter accent." Though there is still the chance that Fenris had the accent from wherever he was before he became a slave in Tevinter (if indeed he came from anywhere else), or that it is different from the rest of Tevinter's population for some other reason.

The Dalish had no accent either in Origins, but, if memory serves, they're getting Welsh accents in DA2.

It should be Greek.

That would make more sense than Russian if they stick with the whole Byzantine thing.

hang on the byzanthine empire,was the eastern roman empire im european and i know for a fact the tevinters should have middle east accents as much of their empie was situated,around that ara,russians have nothing to do with, the byzanthine empire so adding that would be silly and are all of you forgetting the byzanthine empire orginated from the roman empire so they woud have italian accents not greek unless recuited locally.

There was that one Tevinter non-mage we met with an accent. Let me see if I can find a clip.

Edit: Here. At around 1:36. I couldn't place the accent so I asked Mary later, and she confirmed he was Tevinter.
