Obviously. I don't think the Byzantines ever practiced blood magic or opened portals to a metaphysical realm, polluted it, and created armies of darkspawn. There is a connection nonetheless, which is more than can be said for Russian accents.

You thought it was Russian? It sounded like a hodge-podge of Russian, Romanian, and something...unidentifiable to my ears, to me. I was under the impression that Tali's VA just made up the accent.

None of the russians I know sound like that.

Meh*shrugs*.. All I know is thats what the Quarians(atleast Tali) are supposed to sound like.

I always heard Tali's accent as somewhere eastern european or maybe a bit Israeli



as for how those from the imperium should sound, I think definitely nothing from britain or nearby europe, I think some sort of eastern european accent would work pretty well

And you confused people thinking that Russian women are hairy? France is not part of the Russian Federation.

Whenever I try and picture Fenris' voice in my head, his accent sounds Middle Eastern, Lebanese to be specific (perfect example thisaway). The only things we know about Fen's VA is that he was asked for by name, is well-known in the business, and is quite excited for this opportunity. My guess is Keythe Farley (voiced Thane in ME2); if only that were true. *sigh* I'm such a sucker for deep, rumbly voices.

As for the accent, I think it'll be some east European one.

I meant we don't have a really particular accent (like italians have for example). If you listen to a romanian talking english you won't say "OMG he is romanian!". Of course there are different romanian accents (like the moldavian one) which transfer into any other language we talk (this is my opinion).

The famous "Numa numa" song is sang by an old romanian band which has split up. In the meantime, one of the singers recorded songs in english. Do you sense any accent? If i didn't know him, i would have said he is american. But when you hear him talk in romanian, he def has a moldavian accent.

What sirOccam said. One guy who supossedly speaks without accent doesnt prove that all the Romanian (Italic language) native speakers speak standard (RP MW ect.) English.
