First of all Italian features and language we know to come from after the fall of Rome when the sackings and Germanic barbarians start intertwining with the Latin Romans. It would be proper to have Greek accents as most of the people in east spoke Greek not Latin. I see people's arguments for a Russian accent instead because of the Russians being themselves a Greek Orthodox base. Further after the fall of Western Rome you have a more continuation of a more Greco culture. I wouldn't say having a middle eastern accent would be correct just because most of it was in the eastern part of the Mediterranean as I believe Bioware is drawing more inspiration from the European side of the Byzantine Empire and using the Qunari for their Turkish qualities.
