DA is a single player game. No MP whatsoever.

The only way to play this game co op is to have one person do the mouse and the other the keyboard.

I predict that they are just establishing their IP with origins, and I -hope- they will add some type of multiplayer or co-op in DA2. (but that would mean no pause-and-play)

The "hardcore" single player RPG is a dying breed nowadays. Everyone wants multiplayer or co-op due to game like WoW and Fable 2.



WoW sucks and Fable 2's Co-op is a disaster.



DA will be nothing but single player goodness. Thank the lord (or whoever).

I'm excited about DA being single player, but I can also see the potential and attraction of a multiplayer environment.

I can see the appeal to having co-op in games like KOTOR or Mass Effect, but it would ruin the single player RPG feel.



I sort of liked the way Fable 2 did some things, like having the other player able to affect your world, but Fable is all fluff with NPC interaction. They also had no way of showing off your own trophies and character in someone elses world which blew.



If you watch that 20min Old Republic video I like the way theyre doing NPC dialog with multiple people, but I also still like single player RPG the way it is. Not every game needs every feature.

No OR is not in the DA universe. My point was OR is Bioware's first  mmorpg, I don't think they would make a DA one unless OR is successful.

Hilarious.I would think wikipedia is a faster and more easily accessible way to get bare bones information about DA:O, including whether it's multiplayer and what platforms it will be released for. Indeed, the FAQ and the Dragon Age website is also a quick, easy-to-use source that doesn't result in the creation of yet another spam thread.

Well, that pretty much eliminates all the possible forms of multiplayer.

if u want a multiplayer bioware game just wait for the Old Republic MMO............theres where bioware is investing multiplayer

LULZ!!!! Multiplayer in Fable 2!!! AHAHAHAHAHAAH! 

But really was that even worth brining up, that fact that anyone knows it exists is horrible enough don't talk about it here. Never played WoW and I never plan to, Fable 2 was a good game on its own. I'm pretty sure Peter wanted it to be mostly single player. But multiplayer games don't deserve this attack. Didn't everyone else have fun in NWN multiplayer. Especially when people started using the console and toolset to cheat and there was no point of even getting on it.

Theres the toolset and its how NWN gain all its success. Give time to some developpers and you see DA take life in multiplayer, although unsure if its GameSpy who will take charge like with NWN.

There's a thread on the other forum titled 'Lack of MP means one lost sale'. It is now 130 posts long, and has a bunch of opinions about MP in it. Lot's of rants and raves as well. It was even locked at one time and reopened by a dev. MIght be an interesting, if not entertaining, read.
