Yes, but unlike Casey Hudson, they don't take all of their spare time to personally write every line of dialogue, choreograph all of the fight scenes/non-Shepard dancing/paramour scenes (from each perspective), while simultaneously working on keeping his perfect physique and superb singing voice in check while he's also writing Blasto the Jellyfish: Enkindle This! (the musical).

Casey doesn't come here because he would have to answer to Zulu_DFA if he did.

Imagine being trapped at the dinner table with those two. Awwwkwarrddd.

Casey is, as has been mentioned, extremely busy. I do know he lurks though as I get messages from him saying "Why are people talking about this?" or "Is there confusion over that". Just because he doesn't post much, that doesn't mean he isn't here quietly working behind the scenes.

Edit: And tell your GF that Casey is flattered, but also happily married.

Chris, ask him what he thinks of Ecael's megathreads.

Also ask him who was responsible for the Hammerhead being clad in tissue-paper armor, so I know where to direct the bombs.

*Hmm, wonders if the writing team has looked through this thread about how people want the final mission to be - quite a few are hoping for something more poetic and emotionally breathtaking than fighting a big boss

What were we talking about that made Casey ask. Is there confusion over what. What did he want to know about. What did you say. What forum reaction bugs him the most. What are all the things he's asked about. Could you list them numerically. Does he have a favorite forumite. Is it moi. Does he like mushrooms on his pizza. Does he say "vahz" or "vase". Does he test out the asari stripper animations personally, "for screening purposes". Can he tolerate interrogative sentences that don't end in question marks. Tell us. Tell us.

Patrick Weekes said a long time ago on the old forums, when asked if he was the lead writer of a character, that he's not the lead of anything because leads don't have time to post on the forum. I guess the same goed for Casey Hudson.

Old thread is old

Hah, nice... I'd like to know what the devs think about the constant ridicule of the ME2 plot.

I guess we'll know what they think if Mac Walters is retained for ME3. That guy needs to stick to writing comic books and pulpy Star Wars fanfic.

True. Drew Karpyshyn started ME, he should be the one who finishes it. Its like if George Lucas wrote first Star Wars and the rest was written by some random comics guy.

Also, if Bioware is listening their fans, then they really should take a look at this.

Trying to make the game of the year in less than 2 years of development is going to require a lot of long, long nights... can't always be hovering over the chatter of the nerds :-B The quote from Patrick above also sums that up well.

I'm not that thrilled with Drew K's latest work either; Retribution really feels like he phoned it in. From reading dev journals, I think Mass Effect was in the most capable hands with Chris L'etoile who quit Bioware before ME2 launched, and imo it kind of shows. In ME he wrote Ashley Williams, all the codex entries, all the planet descriptions, the Citadel mission "I Remember Me" and "Old, Unhappy, Far Off Things" and a few others, in ME2 he wrote most of Legion and EDI which unsurprisingly were some of the best characters in the sequel.

Agreed, as far as I know he also did the whole Noveria mission, which is the best ME1 has to offer IMHO and Thane.
He has really interesting articles here.

Now I have even less faith in plot of ME 3 <_<

Well, it's a different Bioware now than it was when they began work on Mass Effect back in what, 2004? 2005? And it has nothing to do with EA--just turnover.
