I'm new here, as in...  A few minutes new.  Either way I'm still used to forums, just not this one...  So excuse me if this has been discussed already...

I was wondering if Kasumi and Zaeed will be characters in Mass Effect 3, and if they are would they be a legitimate character within the game, where you could talk to them with in depth conversations.  Or would they still be the "click this object in their room and let them talk" type of characters.

We dont know that even about "normal" squadmates like Miranda or Garrus. But i sure hope so, that everyone will return as squadmates.

Your guess is as good as any at the moment.

Nobody knows, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that yes. Yes, they will be crew members in ME3.

I'm afraid that no one really knows which squadmates are returning in Mass Effect 3. There's a bunch of rumors, but Bioware hasn't made any specific announcements yet.

i would love to see kasumi return, she had some funny remarks and cool abilities. I enjoyed Zaeed's accent a lot so i would love to see him back asswell. If they arn't playable then at least as NPC's. but like stated above we are kept in the dark about companions and so on. Welcome to the forum, enjoy!

Zaeed can suck it, Kasumi however was awesome and even though i am apparantly straight in real life, i feel a lesbian allure to her. Amazing what Mass Effect 2 has taught me, apparantly i like aliens and women. Life lessons and all ay!

I'm going on an implied assumption here, that if you pass events and stuff exists...  They carry over...  In all honesty though, I would actually think Bioware turning these two characters into a "full" character would make Mass Effect 3 even greater, just from the start.

Aside from your bicuriousness...  Zaeed was a cool character for a lot of my friends, and although I never actually used him much after I got Garrus, he would still be an interesting character to talk with.  Let's take Mordin for example, how many of you knew he was a singer from the start?

No. Both are DLC characters and mercenaries.

The rest are there by choice.

It varies for different people, i just think he is an arse with no chance of redemption. I didn't know Mordin was a singer but that is not why i like him. It is when he warns me not to ingest any alien fluids that he really won me over.....

Well...  He redeems himself with Paragon...  Again, can't center the game around 1 individual here.  I'm sure we all play with different characters, mine being Legion and Tali.

Great choices for companions, i usually use Legion and Miranda, i love Legion. how amazing is it to be working with a geth whom were so hated in the first game. I love the hive mentality.

Zaeed and Kasumi are both great, but I muchly prefer the latter. In fact, she's one of my favorite characters in the series.

And both are downloadable content--not even in the main game proper.

Here's how I see it:

We'll lose Zaeed (mercenary), Kasumi (mercenary), Thane (terminally-ill father), and Samara (justicar) for sure.

I feel the same way about Zaeed; I love it when he "waxes goddamn nostalgic".

i just think he [ Zaeed ] is an arse with no chance of redemption.

That's what makes him so great; he is a concrete character. He doesn't care what you think, and you just know he would do anything for the right price, even betray the great Commander Shepard.

Both are truly awesome and I hope both will return in ME3.

@The_Big_Nothing technically you could label the majority of the squad as Mercenaries so by your idea, none of them would be back. I could point out a 'line' of hope regarding the 3rd person you listed, but that'd be a spoiler for people that not played the game so I won't.

I do hope we get to hear Zaeed waxing more goddamn nostalgic and Kasumi giving her insightful opinion of the squad and crew again in ME3.

I hope so. Zaeed and Kasumi are among my favorite characters.
