Tamlen. What? There were no dark hair/dark eyes/difficult personality characters, and fiesty childhood friends come right after that in my list of characters I like in a romance. Sure, it was short and doomed, but that just meant I never had to confront his personality flaws and hey, I got to be the one with a dead boyfriend!



I'm not especially excited about romancing anyone in particular in DA2 because we don't know what dudes are going to be available and I usually prefer dudes.

Speaking of Leliana and Aveline, has anybody else realized how they seem to be polar opposites in some important aspects? I mean, just look at these facts;
1) Leliana was born to a Fereldan mother in Orlais - Aveline with an orlesian father in Ferelden.
2) Leliana's sweet and caring - Aveline seems to be a tomboy.

Only thing's missing is for Aveline to have an 'unhardened' mode to counter Leli's 'hardened' persona

I wouldn't like Alistair in real life, but neither the shy nor witty parts have anything to do with it.  I used to ask out shy and witty guys all the time when I was single, but apparently there's something wrong with aggressive women, so I got turned down a lot.  In adorably frantic ways.

Zevran was the one my wardens ended up with in 9 out of 10 cases, the other one struggling to put up with Alistair. But I also romanced Anders in my mind (aka the bug that should have never been fixed) and felt very tempted to do so with Cullen whenever I played a mage.



So far, no one from DA2 really appeals to me.

Strangely I would say Alistair on my female warden. I found the women love interests in DA:O to be unappealing. Most of my male wardens went solo but my canon warden hooked up with Anora for the better of Feralden.
As for the DA:2 characters my thoughts are as follows:
Isabela: They fact that you could have something along the lines of the following conversation in DA:O is a deal breaker for me:
Warden: My crew and I would like to have sex with you
Isabela: Cool
Warden: Nice
Aveline: When I think of female fighters I want Chris of Zexen not Brienne of Tarth, I know, shallow, but this is just based on first impressions.
Varric: TBD
Fenris: Ugh, his character concept would be awesome if he was a Qunari who was big by Qunari standards but since he is giving me major bishonen vibes no thanks.
Bethany: Love the character design. Somewhere in the bowels of Bioware David Gaider is laughing at all the Bethany fans

Viconia was the best. But ending sucked bad, good that mods released alternative. In DA:O all romances was so-so.
